Did anyone actually watch the Challenge cup?

I didnt.. I'm not a fan of park footy.

I went down the Walkabout to watch the Wallabies v the Saffas instead. Good atmosphere... shame about the result but.

Quade Cooper had one or 2 good touches. Reminds me of Benji Marshall in a way. I personally hope he stays in Union... our national side need him more than League does. He would go well in the NRL though.

Thought the Challenge cup was a dead set nailed on sell out? I saw a clip of it on the news this morning and there were heaps of empty seats?

it was 'sold out' but shamefully wembley has a sheeeeite thing called club wembley wer theres a ring of seats that are reserved for posh people who have paid a yearly amount so they get to watch england games and the top english football finals, the challenge cup is also included in the club wembley package but all the southern turnips don't have a clue what rugby league is so they don't turn up to the match and don't sell the tickets on so wembley will never sell out for a rugby league game.

I was thinking more about the many hundreds of empty seats dotted around the ground?

I wondered why there were so many fans with red shirts on attending the game. I thought Salford had got their fixtures mixed up. Or maybe a load of Thai anti government protesters had hopped on the wrong plane at Bangkok. Then I realised it was just hundreds of empty red seats.

I've just remembered.

When Crusaders allegedly sold 11,000 tickets for the Wigan game yet the actual attendance was around 8,000 (or maybe less I cant remember) they were saying that about 3,000 people had gone to a BBQ instead because it was a nice day.

That will be what happened at Wembley yesterday hey

i dont know any aussie RL fans who would rather watch the wallabies than SL.

It was a hard choice.

Watch a game that is essentially park footy on the BBC in the comfort of my flat involving 2 teams (neither of which I have the slightest interest in) commentated on by some random Yorkshireman and an annoying Welshman or chuck my Wallabies jumper on and head down Shepherds Bush for multiple cold VB's with my mates in a packed out fully cranking Walkabout and watch an international on a big screen in company of heaps of fellow Aussies and Saffas?

Tough call that one.


Rugby League is far better than Union.

But sadly when its a toss up between 2 sides like Leeds v Warrington or an international involving Australia... there can only be one winner

League is best but I like other sports too. Nothing wrong with supporting your country is there?

The funny thing is I'm possibly the only Aussie on here... apart from maybe 'eelsfan'

But I'm sure many others enjoyed watching it and if watching something that is not unlike park footy is what fires your rockets.... goodonya

Now, I'd rather watch any park footy then watching S14 or the wannabies go around anyday.As far as I'm concerned union is for the Geriatrics....Union is just to slow and freaking boring, anyone with a brain should know this...

i have to admit i do enjoy watching s14's and the tri-nations i cant stand our union comp over the pond though.
