| Quote: Cronus "Some terrible decisions.
Farrell. Committed to the block - had already jumped and was in the air when McGuire kicked. How is he supposed to pull out?
Senior. Accidental or not, he's kicked out. Wigan player has to go off, Senior plays on.
Peacock. Ok, this happens a lot - a player steps inside and the defender throws out an arm. But he also swings with his other arm - two high shots in one tackle.
'Accidental offside'???? I stand to be corrected here, but I assume this means the referee has deemed Richards was in front of Tomkins when he kicked? Having watched it back, he was nowhere near offside, he was actually stood a good 2-3 metres behind Tomkins, not even running up.
Video ref decision - turnover?? How is it a turnover when Smith has touched the ball - and knocked it on?? It's either a knock on or held up over the line.
Shame, because overall I thought Bentham was doing ok.'"
I think the accidental offside was because the kick hit a Wigan player, not Richards regathering it. I stand to be corrected though.

Hmmmm.....wonder if you're another bitter Leeds hater?
I should have put--potentially dangerous. His feet went above the horizontal and that is a penalty. If he had landed on his head then it would have been red.
Not bothered which team won today but Leeds should at one point--if not two--have been down to 12 men.
Now as for tomorrow's game---come on Bradford cos I cant stand Wire

Yep, fair enough, watched it again. I hadn't even looked for that, just assumed it had hit a Leeds player and Richards was the one penalised. Scratch that moan!!

Agree about the first shot being instinctive as he lined Tomkins up only for Tomkins to step him. But Peacock then turns round and swins another arm at him. Should have been given 10 considering what Farrell went for.
On another note, I thought Peacock was outstanding today (apart from the above). Possibly the best forward on the pitch.

| One could argue that had peacock not bought tomkins down head first he would have scored a try.
One could also say that however accidental seniors kick to joel tomkins head was, he was still kicking out in the tackle and still caught him, perhaps he shouldnt of been kicking out as pointed out by the commentary team. A player can show his urgency to get to his feet without doing the kan kan. in my opinion a needless and reckless action by senior - no surprise there though!
On friday night wakefield travel to leeds and should a wakefield player ground say danny mcguire in the same situation as peacock on tomkins, the wakefield player will, more than likely, go for a minimum of 10 minutes and may even get sent off after the referee consults the south stand and kevin sinfield.
likewise, should a wakefield player split a leeds players head wide open whilst kicking out in a tackle, albeit accidental, he will be more than likely put on report and found guilty of some sort of reckless actions and recieve a ban along with a 10 minute spell on the sidelines.

| The Farrell "chargedown" was one of those clear cases of the player going in with the sole intention of getting a shot on the kicker at the time the ball is kicked. A worthy tactic, it's important to put those kickers off their game, but the player has to be aware of the penalty for being late.

it was unlikely he could card a Leeds player for foul play after he did not card the Wigan player for a spear tackle
you misunderstand "consulting the captain and the south stand" with the referee watching the big screen as he has missed another incident

| I think the Farrel incident was an over reaction as he could not stop once he had jumped, but I understand that the coaches wanted to stop players jumping into the kickers or shoulder charging maybe if he had just tackled him he would have stayed on. The ref is only following his instructions to protect the kicker from injury. As for some of the refs calls, as a neutral it was a good game but any more whistle would have spoiled it, there is a fine line between penalising every offence like Union or trying to keep the game moving as we would like it to be. Would we want a penalty at every play the ball?

| As Farrell clearly didn't get anywhere near a charge down (he came from the side and the ball was kicked without hitting him, both indicating this) then his leap through the air was for what exact purpose? When in a game would leaping high through the air with your arms down at a player not result in a high dangerous contact? Clearly a penalty....
