| Batley (assuming Fax will be kicked out of the competition) v Le Cats would be interesting?

| The RFL are beating their heads together saying where did it all go wrong. Then the chief Executive says " Everything was great when it was the Saints v Bulls" era.
So people may be right, they want a St Helens/Bradford Final.

The draw for the next round threw up the four ties as listed, I'm predicting that of those four ties the BBC will pick the Leeds v Wigan game and the Bradford V Warrington game as the two they will cover.'"

There'll be one cracking semifinal.
Assuming they can even manage to get past the championship opposition (which is by no means a foregone conclusion) the semi featuring Catalans will be a one sided blow-out whoever they draw.

As a Catalan fan I can only say ...
what he said.
If we have a new coach and either of Greenshields or Walker back then maybe, but as it stands we'll field Guisset in the halves and Carlaw at FB. At least Carlaw has a turn of pace and Guisset has a kicking game ...

I wouldn't be so sure. That's what we thought 3 years ago. There was only one team in it alright but it wasn't the Catalans that went out.
The semi finals are three months off yet. Present form is no indicator of how the four semi finalists (whoever they are) will be performing when the semi finals are played.

| Getting to the meaty bit now, two cracking ties.
'85 aside, Mike Ford doing the draw a precursor to anything?
No involvement in league since he left Oldham nine years ago and he still lives there.

|
| Looks like The Clan isn't going to acknowledge the blunder then?

I doubt Ford will come back to league. He was interviewed on Radio Manchester last year and spoke about not being at all happy with the way his son was treated by RL clubs offering terms and what they could give him. He gave a lot of praise to RU clubs and their set ups in general and how his son is much better off in an RU academy. He sounds lost forever to Kick and Clap IMO.

Would this be the same son who has been happy to take a shedload of cash to be third choice fly half at Northampton next year rather than get some game time at Leeds?
Sounds more like being lost forever to the appeal of a big fat payday for playing reserve team rugby to me.
