I think Crusaders have done really well so far, if they can average around 5000 and not finish in the bottom two, they have done a hell of a lot better than anyone thought. Saying this, I also think that the Challenge Cup tie against Catalans should be marketed, even if they make a loss financially on the day, I think the national coverage with a win in front of a big crowd will do the club a world of good in the long run.

That's what I mean, with it being on national telly, prospective sponsors, potential fans and investors will be watching. They have to take this opportunity, they might not get another like this for a while. Hope they get 12000 and win with a last minute try, get people talking.

Beat Catalans, home draw against one of the championship clubs, win that and they're in the semis and in a with a shout of Wembley. Wrexham FC took 20k+ to Wembley for the LDV Vans trophy a few years back. A Wembley appearance would probably do more for the club than it did for Sheffield, London or Catalans.

What the picture doesn't show is that the fans were mostly in the middle behind the sticks, so not filling at least half the upper tier of the stand which holds 2000 without the gaps in the crowd in the picture.

See link below for what the stand looks like and I would say that the Hudds fans were in the main in the two middle blocks and a few on either side, there's no way that stand was half full so unless there were a few hundered dotted around the rest of the ground 500 would be about right.
