the main stand at Saints is sold out pretty much every week - suggesting that the pricing for that area of the ground is correct.
be interesting to see how many Saints fan travel down, how many Quins RL fans there are, and how many RU fans sit around for 2 hours waiting for the RL.
It does seem a strange policy though to increase prices when demand is so low - even with the RU game to squeeze in first.

I'm not sure, but I don't think we charge extra to watch Union beforehand.

| I believe the price is being set by the Union club not the League Club and the sale of cheaper tickets after the match is tied up in Health and Safety red tape... I imagine.

| So in a nutshell, Harlequins Rugby Union have ambushed this League Fixture by re-arranging a union game. Then decided to "shoe horn" the league game later in the day by disguising it as a rugby double header.
They then quietly put up the price of the league game by 66% to a take it or leave it £25 (superleague normally £15).
Feel sorry for the diminishing League Fans down at this club being rough shod by there union counterparts. How can supporters grow down there when the league club is under suppression.

| The stupid thing to me with this is not the pricing, although it is unfair to have to pay extra (even if only a few quid) for a game you do not want to watch and no option to buy a single match ticket. It is the 2 hour gap between them, its not as if they have to change the posts from football to rugby or anything is it? If there was say half an hour between the union ending and the Saints game starting then some of the union crowd might be tempted to stay and have a drink in the bar and then watch the RL out of curiosity. With a two hour gap there is no way that will happen particularly given that they will have to travel home through ridiculous London traffic or back up to Leeds. This seems to me to be dumping on Quins RL more than Saints fans. They are a struggling club who desperately need more fans and this is the way they are treated in a so called partnership. The RU club have done something that on the face of it seems to be a ploy to help both (games billed as a double header to get people watching both clubs) but in reality goes as far as it can to ensure that none of the RU support will stick around to watch a game that they may end up enjoying more.

Actually they have shoehorned the Union game in before the League game.
I'll ask again, how much will Saints charge me to sit in the main stand when we play there?

Nothing, because IIRC it is sold out every week due in the main course to the stand being used in as part of a 'family ticket deal' at the start of the year.
Everyone knows it is murder at Saints to get kids in a spec where they can watch the game, and the main stand is the best option to get them a decent view.
The point still stands irrespective that Harlequins have bumped their price up to cover a sport that the majority of RL fans do not want to watch in this instance with no way of 'get out.'

| As someone said, £25 for two games is great. If you don't want to watch both, then tough.
How many people think Magic is terrific value? And do you watch all 7 games? Thought not.

They'll charge you the same as they charge the away fans of every SL team, whether you turn up for the curtain raiser or not.

We often get 2 games at KR for the normal ticket price, with the added bonus of them both being the sport we're paying to watch in the first place.
