| Good news for Crusaders & I hope a good many of them keep going through the turnstiles in the future.

| Quote: headhunter "Yeah, well after this game they will average 2k and then go bust HA HA HA HA'"
Unlike Cas Wakey, Leeds, Bradford, Hull KR, who can barely turn a profit after 100 years+, Hull turned a profit only after including a million pound valuation of their playing squad. Salford have just had to borrow 300,000 k off the local council to see em through till the new stadium is built, Least with Hull KR they have invested heavily in vastly improving their stadiums, Quins nearly went to the wall a year or so ago, Saints, Bradford, Leeds, Cas, Wakey all play in outdated dumps not worthy of our modern game. So to mr HA HA HA, I would say nearly all of the top clubs are only just scraping by and that's with 100 years of experience. Not great role models? Why not give the Crusaders a chance?
In fact only Huddesfield and Le Cats seem to be really well managed.

| If correct, then this is very good news. Early days yet but it does indicate a decent level of latent support around the borders of traditional RL country, which should be the target areas for expansion as far as I am concerned.
It's a shame that the club will not benefit from the three years of effort that has gone into South Wales, still what's done is done. A sell out crowd and victory over Leeds will do for starters.

Hmmm I thought that being a moderator required some kind of level headedness and common sense but obviously not if someone who makes such a stupid prediction can be one (or did you get it from the back of your ready brek packet?)

Exactly! Its a great start if they do it, shows that there is an interest and now they just have to build on that - hopefully it is a good game to make people want to come back for more.

Incorrect. The valuation of the playing squad makes not one penny of difference to the P&L account.

What about Leeds and Catalans?

| Quote: Catalancs "What about Leeds and Catalans?'" Leeds ended up making a profit due to the sale of some part of their ground, they had an operating loss though IIRC. Catalans are not in the UK so no data available for them. Pretty sure there was a 1000 post thread about all this a while ago.

It's impossible to get figures for the Rhinos as they are owned by Leeds Cricket, Football & Athletic Company which also includes Leeds Tykes and some other enterprises. They are all wrapped up together in one set of accounts.

| Good news for Crusaders. I am optimistic of their chances this season and really believe that being in Wrexham will actually help them to progress.

You said last year. That was 2009. The accounts have not been published for 2009. I may not be brilliant with numbers but I can get my years right.
