| McNamara and Agar need to have a good start, if not then it'll be one of those two.
Wouldn't be surprised if Walters gets the boot early doors either.

| Quote: "With the signings Hull have made and a decent coach they would be looking at a top 3 finish IMO. McDermott must go if Harlequins want to ever win anything. And they have to start winning something.'"
Quins wont win anything in the near future. They have let the likes of Hill, Mclinden Paul, go and replaced them with young UK talent. Its a transition period for the club and probably a time to redress the imbalance in the books I suspect.
Mac wont get the boot-he is mates with Hughsey the owner-He may leave of his own accord although I doubt that. I say this having watched them yesterday and they weren't overly impressive and have a number of long term injuries to influential players which doesn't bode well for this year.

| McDermott might be the first to leave for the England job, but my money would be on McRae for the sack. There is a fair chance though is name will be Mac.

| McRae? Again no one expects Salford to finish anything other than in the bottom two so I would say he's totally safe regardless.

| McDermott will go first... .he's already looking over his shoulder with the "10 games before you can tell..." statement. I have never heard a coach come out with excuses BEFORE the season starts before....he is on borrowed time IMO.

So if they've not won a game after 10 games, do you think they'll be happy with that, just because they aren't expected to do well?

| The only way Mcrae will leave us is if he walks himself. If we have a bad run (which is more than likely!) then we simply havnt got the money to get rid!!

And interestingly, we lost away, 4 tries to 3, to the team that finished 3rd last season when we finished 9th. Stains lost at home by a bigger margin to a team that finished below us last season.
Leaving aside the dramatic improvement that all but most of the pundits expected of Hull FC, I'm sure I know which coach will be the more concerned right now. Next week will either reverse that...or reinforce it.

| I fail to see how McDermotts up for the chop.
last week they played wakefield (who had 9) with THREE overseas players. Of course you're going to suffer if the opposition has 3 times as many overseas players as you.
Give them time down their to bring British talent through, he's doing an alright job, no one else is going into games with only 3 overseas players

| Bradford won't sack McNamara, we eon't pay out whilst he's only got a year left. If we end up doing so badly, we may do a Wire and bring someone in above him, but we won't pay him off.
I don't think there'll be many sackings as there never is tbh, Potter if Saints keep playing like that.
