the atmosphere was great and wigan upset saints so the crowd were fantastic but the hull game had something else behind it. i was amazed that the game in england could produce something like that'"
I think it is because we work together, live down the same streets, families are often divided..The Hull Derby is a real derby.

| I think in this sort of argument people will generally back their own teams derby, its the natural thing to do. Realistically there shouldnt be much between any of the games attendance wise. Saints and Wigan grounds are a similar distance apart to Hulls and Rovers with Leeds and Bradford no that far further.
Someone touched earlier on amateur crowds in Hull. Most clubs have always attracted big crowds and premier East Hull v West Hull games can easily attract crowds in excess of 3000.
Well done to Dally though on doing the tour to watch different clubs thats real passion for ya.

| My folks talk of the Warrington Widnes derby but when they were in SL recently I thought it was flat.
Definately not a real derby in these days, if we drew them in the cup this year may be different.

The logic that a PROPER derby is 2 teams from the same city.
Not 2 cities that are near each other

Can't believe that as a red and white I'm going to have to point out that actually last season, you achieved a treble.
Carnegie 9's, Fairplay League and Tom Briscoe's little brother won a running race.

| I have never classed Leeds/Bradford as my main Derby. I prefer the Leeds/Cas games. Much better atmosphere. Leeds/Bradford were just half decent teams at the same time 10 years ago.

| Quote: Roofaldo "There's little to do in Hull at the best of times. There's also the fact that Hull is a single city and the game was played in the city centre (just about) with direct transport links.
Besides, just because there's more people there, it doesn't mean it's the best game'"
what utter tripe
I was there and it was a good game, and well done to both FC and KR fans fpr the 16,204 attendance for Rich Hornes testimonial,
we do miss our rugby as a previous poster said,.

| The crowd yesterday was fantastic for a testimonial especially when you consider the way the recession has hit Hull compared to other cities. As a previous poster said we all think our own derby games are the best so it is an argument that will never be settled.
