Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

Thing is though Barry that those that did turn up , if they decided to stay at home instead of travelling north would go a long way to financing a Championship club numbers wise

| I think this new team could easily get crowds between 1 - 2000, which is sustainable for a div 2 / 1 side surely.
I like the names Glamorgan Celtic. Or if its owned by BFL why not a tie in ala harlequins so maybe Bridgend Ravens / celtic or Glamorgan RAvens.?
I like the sound of this more and more.
Remember with LS not involved more people will come and watch.!

Just hope they don't name it after Bridgend though and cut it off to a lot of South Wales as it is quite tribal, so to speak, down here.'"

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| This is good news.
I hope this time they are allowed to develop at their own pace and grow organically and the same mistakes aren't made again. If they're a good enough club then they'll get to SL eventually. Lets develop South Wales naturally instead of artificially this time.
Though you can guarantee that if they have a half decent start in CC1 then some people will be starting threads about how they must be put into SL in 2012 ![Rolling Eyes icon_rolleyes.gif](images/smilies//icon_rolleyes.gif)

err....at the risk of stating obvious.........didn't Bridgend have one of these and then didn't want it anymore and wanted to be Superleague? They didn't win anything as I recall.

History. Ancient History mate. Lets just say he and his ways are not best liked down here. The Crusaders are the 4th club (2 Union & 1 soccer before) that he has owned/invested in. One just survived and is still struggling, one is no more, one fell down the leagues and has not recovered and the jury is still out on the Crusaders.

What he said. Success can only be defined as such when it is achieved on a level playing field, and I sincerely hope that this new club gets off the ground and continues the good work in the communities of the Bridgend area that the Crusaders appeared to be undertaking.

3,500 turned up on average for the SL team. Even half that would be a decent crowd in the championship. As long as they're realistic about paying players, there's no reason they can't establish themselves.
