| Most saints fans support st George for obvious reasons.
My Aussie team though is the bulldogs. The reason being from when I was young lad we brought mckraken(spelling) over from bulldogs on season loan.
He was my fave player that year and would always check how he was doing in oz and I just stuck with bulldogs ever since.

Ermmmmm
Would these 'obvious reasons' be that both teams wear white shirts and start with 'St'??
Hardly valid reasons for supporting a team that play over 12,000 miles away
Does this mean that St Helens fans also support Penrith district junior side St Marys?
I read in the paper Man Utd are having a 'V' on their shirts next season, so they will look a bit like St George too. Will St helens fans be supporting them as well??

The reason is because both are saints you thick convict.
In fact I don't even follow Aussie rugby anymore because it's boring 1 up rugby.

| English RL fans wearing NRL shirts is no different from kids in South Africa wearing Man Utd soccer shirts - people are attracted to the pinnacle of whatever sport their interested in and in RL its the NRL.
Theres a few shops that sell NRL shirts / vests / polo shirts etc in the north of england these days mostly selling the ISC gear (which is very good quality).
Although I support the Raiders i've got all sorts of other teams stuff and the vests are very handy for the red hot weather we're having at the moment.
The NRL gear looks much better than the Super League stuff too
If any of you live in West Yorkshire theres a shop in Castleford Market that sells loads of NRL clothing at good prices (I'd like to point out I'm not a Cas fan - Wakefield is my team)

| I am a Bulls fan and support St George down in Aus.
They gave us players like Graeme Bradley and Brad MacKay so I just started following them from there on.
That said most English SL fans will have an NRL team they follow, seems to be the done thing ATM.

So are St Marys you dope
Thats like me saying I used to support Hull when they were called 'Sharks'
Or I support Celtic Crusaders because The are a few letters in their name that also appear in the word 'Cronulla'
Northampton Rugby union are called the 'Saints' as well I think.
Do you support them too?

| Many friends follow teams because of the association of particular players, both from Oz & (back in the days of seperate seasons) a favorite player went down under to a particular club.
Manly for me as several Cas players have played there over the years so got me into following/choosing them. & have followed ever since though I did wane slightly in the Northern Eagles era (or error).

| Why does no one follow Penrith though?
I mean, who wouldn't want to be emotionally raped on a weekly basis?
