NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg |

| At the moment the squad is about 70% WA born players. There is some real talent in our junior Reds squad and hopefully by 2013 if we keep on the path we are we could well have at least a couple of local lads in the NRL 1st team squad. Considering the Storm have been in the NRL for 12 years and still no signs of a Vic player we will be well ahead in that regard.
There are about 6-7 WA players in NRL squads at the moment. OOur jnr playing numbers are up 30% which is another positive sign.
Our ground is ok but does need some work. It holds around 19,000 and is 3 sides seating, one side terraced standing. Good news is the Western Force will move into the ground next year and there are plans for a $75mill upgrade that will take capacity to about 24,000 and add a whole load more corporate boxes.
As ishttps://www.vincent.wa.gov.au/cproot/1695/27960/Perth%20%20Oval.JPG" >

Biggest issue we face is finding a big money backer and the fact RL has a relatively small profile here due to no FTA coverage of the game on TV. The pre season trial game drew 10,000 a few weeks ago and I reckon a 15,000 average to start us off isn't impossible.

| Good news for the Reds then, really do hope they are seriously considered and hopefully included in the next expansion.

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

| If i were the NRL powers that be, there is really only two that id put in.
WA Reds-We want a better TV deal well then rugby league would have more interest in another state and i think it would give a national feel to the NRL.
and....
Another QLD team-We want more QLD supporters than give them another team to support, NSW cant afford to have another team well we cant afford and dont deserve it in my opinion. The Central Coast in my opinion would weaken other supporter bases like the Knights. Plus theres so many games in NSW and Sydney is about an hour and 15 min drive from Central Coast.
Another QLD team and every year have all the QLD teams playing each other twice which means more QLD derbies more money.
