Quote: dubairl "I think castleford will show the importance of a good coach this season. Darly powell is very underrated for some reason in my opinion. Im friends with a couple of cas fans out here and i said last season you will better with out rangi chase and with powell as your coach, i look forward to seeing if i am right.'"

I agree with this. Of those teams that seem to be regarded as being lower-echelon teams, Cas are the ones I'd least expect to be involved in the bottom 2 dogfight & not inconceivable they could be top 8.

Crawl out from under the woodwork when you lose???
Yet another irony meter goes 'pop'.

Warrington 14 - Salford 8 both with very strong teams out, Salford took time to get going but when they did they played some great stuff. And I think we won the battle of the BIFF!

Imo all three of your tries were a carbon copy of each other, from 10 metres out, ours were more exciting. In that last 25 our forwards smashed you to bits! We we're very unlucky not to win the game, wire best team in first half Salford best in the 2nd. Rangi set up a brilliant try but was sin binned for a chicken wing tackle apparently?

Baring in mind that was our 2nd ever game as a team we did good. We'll improve week by week.

Warrington dominated the first half, came out the blocks much quicker than Salford and caught us cold. Second half was the complete opposite with Salford dominating and looking the likely team to go on and win the game. A disallowed try at 14-8 looked like a dubious call, but we had enough chances to score further tries but bombed them on the Warrington line.

As far as friendlies go it was a great game.

In his view warrington didn't have enough penaltys to score more try's, it's so not fair!

Nearly perfectly summed up. It was a game of two halves that's for sure, but, didn't feel somehow that you'd go on to win the game. As friendlies go I quite enjoyed it too, plus points for both sides.

Salford's pack is big but as for winning the biff and smashing this and that I didn't quite see that, midpoint through the second half we had a decent spell but squandered our chances on 2 or 3 plays and we could have seen a scoreline that probably flattered us.

Not quite sure why Rangi went off on one, he's probably better playing rugby and leaving the tough guy stuff to those that are.

Theres certainly history between Westwood and Chase from the England camp. From the first minute Rangi made a point of targetting Westwood everytime he touched the ball, I think he even caused Westwood to leave the pitch momentarily to get bandaged up. I'm surprised Westwood wasnt interested in retaliating, unless he's scared of Rangi of course.

Westwood was obviously frightened to death, all that crepe ha ha Maybe this is the new mature Benny with his role as club captain this year and he has decided to be a bit more of a cool customer?

Either way, I think Noble might not be best pleased if your 6 continues with this kind of shennigans
