| Quote Psychedelic Casual="Psychedelic Casual"Our halves have been like that all season. Our back row is very poor as well. All they do is plod into the defensive line. That’s five places in a 13 man team that Wire have been very poor in all season (which is why we’ve signed three new back rowers for next season even with Currie to come back) yet we were the ones who finished 4th and got to two finals... same in 2016, (probably have a better squad now than we did then) yet we won the LLS and got to both finals then as well!
What the hell is the rest of this league doing?! It really is alarming that we can be getting so far with this side!
Yes, there are some top class players in there but everyone [/most have some top class players.'"
I really don't understand why Wire signed Kevin Brown, he's competent most of the time, but not the creative force to take a team from contender to champion.

| Warrington just didn't have enough in the halves to win the game.

Panic buy after sandow left us in the , we needed a scrum half and signed a stand off that really REALLY didn't fit in with the way we play.
Tyrone roberts has copped a lot of flak this year, and rightly so considering he's on a load of money, and messed us around and hasn't looked happy since day one(thats another discussion though) brown has flown under the radar and stood well out of the way. I reached peak ed offness during the defeat at st helens in july, there was all the fluffing of drop goals from roberts and ratchford, brown was waaaaaay out in the centres, proper hiding. Can't be doing that as a senior half.

BNFL? Its been Sellafield Ltd for about 10 years.

Oh good you're alive then. Was getting worried there. You've been in hiding the last 10 days.
At least Wire manage to get to finals. Saints couldn't get passed two semis this season hence the new Viagra sponsor.
How many Grand Finals did Saints choke? Five wasn't it?

In the super league era Saints have been in 18 finals and only lost 6, Leeds and Wigan have each lost 8 finals in the same period. Wire need to come back in about 5 years to be anywhere near comparative having to date been in 9 finals and lost in 6 finals.

And how about in the last 10 seasons? Where Saints have appeared in just 4 finals, losing 3 and winning 1 against 12 men.
By comparison Wigan have appeared in 9 finals and won 6. And Leeds have appeared in 10 finals and won 7. And Warrington have appeared in 9 finals and won 3.
Saints have the same finals win ratio as Warrington.
It would seem daft for fans of a team who couldn’t make it to a final to take the mick out of a team that did.
Especially as Saints won nothing this year as well.

If you want to start time period cherry picking let’s have the last 5 years then where Saints have a 100% success rate and Warrington a 100% failure rate in grand finals.
Saints won a trophy and £100k in price money by the way, unless you want to cherry pick that out of the way in having no significance.
I seem to remember Saints won the LLS in 4 consecutive years and it became the mickey mouse trophy or hub cap, then suddenly when Huddersfield, Warrington and Castleford won it and it became the best thing since sliced bread.

| I wonder who will win this battle of statistics to prove a meaningless point. As I said before, unless you wear the cherry and white or blood and gold your season has ended in disappointment.
Onwards and upwards for 2019.

| No doubt the one match bans will make the Wire fans feel better about the lack of cards in the final.

This is my point. I have no problem with Wigan or Leeds fans taking the mick but correct me if I'm wrong the only thing Saints have won in the last 6 years (?) is a LLS and a Grand Final that was handed and gift wrapped to them by Ben Flower.
You choked two semi finals this season when you were heavy favourites to win both. Steve Price has been to more finals in his first year than Holbrook has with Saints.
You choked 5 Grand Finals during 2007-2011 so it's a bit rich of you to take the mick out of Warrington. I don't dispute the fact that you may have been successful 10-15 years ago by the way.
