To be fair to Cas fans, they have finished above Leeds in 2 of the last 3 seasons. Not many people have pegged Leeds to be towards the bottom again, but I very much doubt they'll stroll back into the top 4 as easily as some Leeds fans think they will. Lots of teams have strengthed better than Leeds and I think they will struggle more than some imagine

| Salford to win the challenge and finish as high as 5th!
The team that avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth and have signed hardly any new players.

Indeed. As much as we have been enjoying 2014-2016 and have come a long way as a club and a team, we need to go one better next year.
For me, this is is either winning to Challenge Cup or finishing in the top 4 (I know we finished 4th in 2014, but this was before the current play-off system).
Our goal has to be to win some silverware within the next two years.

The same team that were top eight without the points deduction and the subsequent de-motivation, tell me your prediction of us finishing last comes from the heart rather than the head ?
Maybe we have a settled squad rather than changing a dozen or so players, I mean you should know all about a settled squad most of your side have been there donkeys years, and on that point you finished ninth and how many signings have you made ?

I think you're twisting words now.
No one has said Leeds are done and no one said Leeds will finish bottom. Just that we don't feel that they are as strong as they were. But most of us are predicting Leeds to finish further up the table, just not as a top 4 side.

| 1. Wigan - Starters returning and fringe players benefiting from a load of game time in 2016 bodes well. Swapping Smith for Leuluai should improve us plenty.
2. Hull FC - Backing them to kick on where they left off given that they have retained much of the same squad.
3. Castleford - Powell is a great coach and I reckon he has been given the right tools this year.
4. Warrington - This Sandow situation to hit their form early in the season, then either Patton or a mid season signing to find form later on, sending them into the play offs in top form.
5. Leeds - Determination to not repeat last season will improve them but I think they will struggle for leadership whenever Maguire and Burrow are missing, and at 33 and 34 that will be quite often.
6. Widnes - Same old.
7. St Helens - Don't rate their squad. Cunningham to get the sack after 10 games or so.
8. Les Catalans - They will look good when they are in the mood, but the journeymen won't have the heart when it gets tough. They really didn't look bothered when we played them at the end of the regular season.
9. Leigh - A credible start to their SL campaign. They will pick up some scalps early then struggle later with the reality of facing SL opposition every week.
10. Huddersfield - Not sure what would change to propel them higher
11. Wakefield - Same old
12. Salford - Can't help but feel the wheels might come off a bit. Binning off the academy wasn't a good sign.

No Segeyaro and I think Leeds could be scrapping around 7th/8th/9th, with Segeyaro and I agree with your 5th prediction. Having your 1,6,7 & 9 made up from Burrow, Lilley, Sutcliffe, Golding & McGuire isn't great.

Don't think this will be too far off, two stand out though, Hull and Salford, is be amazed if we finished as low as 8th, squad and team this year is stronger than last year, so don't think we will be far off top4. I just don't see it with Salford, I know before the points deduction they would have made the top 8, but there form as the end of the year was poor and very lucky to still be in SL, nothing added for this season in terms of recruitment either. Unless they sign, doubt they will make the 8, certainty not top 6.
