| I'm sure he does think his current employers should get more handouts to prop them up and save his boss having to put his hand in his pocket again but maybe clubs should look to increase revenue rather than constantly putting out the begging bowl.
Personally, I think the RFL should withhold £100k of every clubs' SL money and fund a professional marketer to work in each club and put the rest to a centralised marketing budget to raise the profile of the game effectively in the areas clubs operate. Realistically, clubs have 2 options to increase revenue - increased gates or increased commercial/sponsorship. You can't rely on clubs to employ someone so the RFL should

| He is right that super league clubs need more income, however taking it from Batley hardly seems fair.
That said I think the current championship funding model encourages clubs to spend more than they can afford on players to try and "earn" more income finishing higher in the league.
If this is the best model to allocate funding to clubs why don't we do the same in super league?

| Probably feels part guilty about Rovers position as he was involved in the poor recruitment and pre season at Rovers (although he will blame Chester), great player and will do a good job for Rovers in the last few games, but hasn't shown any signs of being a good Director of Rugby, seems more interested in his own businesses and TV work (along with his England job) and calling his own fans keyboard warriors on Twitter.

On twitter his job at rovers is listed as an afterthought to his self employed roles

What is the prize money structure in the middle 8's?

I think (roughly):
1st, 2nd, 3rd and MPG Winner all get 1.8m.
Loser of MPG = 800k
6th = 750k
7th = 500k
8th = 450k
Those figures might not all be spot on but it is in that ball park.
Hence the 'Million Pound Game' due to the drop in funding between the winner and loser. Certainly be interesting if it comes down to 2 SL teams!

I get it now. You only pretend to know everything. Is that right, Rolfie?

Not sure about the highlighted bit, but our Chairman said SKY give SL clubs each just over 1.4m a year. Not sure if the Million pound game name got it from when Wakey and Cas played for it in 2006 and they've just kept it. Championship funding has risen since then hasn't it.

| Loves the sound of his own voice, Gaz Ellis only got a word in when asked about the cup and then after the highlights of our game at Saints.
