| Hopefully McNamara's decision to pick Chase over Brough backfires, Brough has been the best HB in SL and has more right to be in the England squad.

| Quote Durham Giant="Durham Giant"Just a query what have Saints done to get club of the year.'"
Nothing apart from build and develop a top class facility in Langtree Park, which we fully own and are the main proprietors of, not having to share or play second fiddle to anybody else (how many other clubs can say they have a new & modern stadium which they own and dont share?). The youth development has been very good, the academy team were on fire at the start of the season, yet suffered with the injuries we had as a knock on effect of this was the likes of Swift, Walker, Greenwood, Hand, Richards, Thompson etc all having to play in the first team as cover. These guys have come in and not looked out of place in the first team (again another pat on the back for the youth coaches at the club).
Community partnerships with Rochdale and Whitehaven have been formed and highly successful, Rochdale becoming champions of their league led by one of Saints' coaches and using the LP facilities throughout the season. Other partnerships, including Liverpool wheelchair RL, Steve Prescott Foundation etc have allowed the club to expand its network in the local areas, whilst at the same time giving something back to the community and I think they have done an excellent job.
Also, lets not forget since the licensing era was introduced, Saints are the only club who have fulfilled all requirements they were set by the RFL of the group that were challenged to develop their stadiums, and havent entered financial difficulty in this time so all in all I think its a fair reward for the progress they have made as a club over the past few years

I'd prefer Chase & England to do well tbh, rather then hope they fail just so McNamara is proved wrong.

| England's loss is Scotlands gain. Great half back pairing with him and Peter Wallace for the World Cup.
Brough SHOULD be playing for England, but he's not. Just another typical McBanana decision.

Again it wasn't Mcnamaras decision, Brough made that decision 5 months ago.

Brough didnt ask to play for scotland.
scotland coach called him and asked if he would play for them seeing as he wasnt going to be picked for England. see below.
Much has been made of McNamara's decision to ignore the talents of arguably the best tactical kicker in the British game but Brough insists there is no ill feeling towards the national coach.
"He's picked his squad and I'm not in it," Brough said. "I've just got to bite the bullet and get on with my next job.
"I can't change his mind, I've just got to worry about myself and move forward with the Scotland team."
Brough is keen to point out that he did not hawk his wares around after being snubbed by England.
"They got in touch with me," he said. "I didn't ring them up.
"I think it would have been unfair if I had rung them and said 'I haven't got in the England squad, can I play for Scotland?' so I didn't do that.
"I waited for the call and I made my decision straight away that I would play for them."

| The squad was announced around 2 hours ago, Brough maybe a good RL player but he's not psychic.
Brough threw his Teddys out if the pram .
McNamara said he wanted players that were 100% commited to playing for England Zbrough wasn't, if he had he should have said no to Scotland stating he wanted to prove to the Englsnd coach that he was worth a place in the WC squad, he didn't he spat his dummy because he didn't want to play 'second fiddle'

so the man of steel sits on the bench for england and does not play in the world cup then if he does that.
sinfield will always be first pick and will not play with brough as a combination as they both like to be the generals on the pitch. This is also why we see chase having less an impact on the pitch as hes not the go too man like he is at cas

If you believe that your deluded. Brough wasn't in the ETS that included Ben Cockayne FFS. McNamara even said that he wanted continuity and that's why he would stick with the ETS. Brough would not be in the England squad now as Mcnamara has stuck with Chase ad Sinfield.
I'm not convinced by either as our half backs and think this is what will stop us from winning the WC. I'm fully behind the team but I think we will come up short in the half back area
