It seems a little strange that they were allowed to bring someone in on loan to replace a suspended player.

Well he's been suspended. He's committed an offence that should punish him and his side (who will then obviously punish him further for putting the side in limbo). By bringing a loan player in it just seems to counteract the suspension.

Rangi Chase getting a suspension is the punishment for the offence.
Bringing in a less talented youngster as a short term replacement hardly counters the punishment.
Another case of a fan wanting blood.
As for the OP, that's cynicism for you. |

I wouldn't say I want blood, I just don't think you should be able to replace a suspended player with a loan. |

The club (Cas Tigers) have also been punished by having to pay for another player and Chase has also been punished with a £300 fine.

Also have to add O'Brien to the salary cap for a month. I know not a major thing but could have an impact later on in the season

No I fully understand a Loan and Dual Reg deal, I'm also glad my club does not adopt the second one of these two. Would hate for my club to lose it's identitiy i.e. Gateshead who have a Hull KR badge on the playing shirts.
What I meant was and probably in a tongue in cheek way, as Gareth O'Brien is now injured/on his way back from injury, will he be playing for Swinton to get his fitness back up, this is what the dual reg is for right!?!  |
