Just seen it, absurd, just absurd. Although with that ref it does not surprise me. A penalty? Maybe, 20 like that get ignored in most games. But a yellow card? No way! Wakey player hit one of our guys on the floor a few minutes later with an elbow smash to the face, but that's acceptable. Child is a joke.

Lee smith should have been binned on 72 minutes, for what actually was a professional foul.

He made terrible decisions both ways, one of the worst displays by a ref this year, don't think it changed the result though.

At a pivotal moment of the game he sends one of ours off. I can understand that point when it's something like an incorrect knock on, but we were down to 12 right at the end when players are at their most tired, and you scored down the wing our player should have been.

The game deserved better than that. The referee decided the game by calling that. I'm not saying we would have won, I'm saying it would be been a real competition.

Flynn should have stayed on, and/or Smith (?) should have walked. Referee ruined the game.

besides the winning try being scored whilst we were a man down. besides that winner coming down the sin binned players undermanned wing, and besides the sin binning coming when we were getting on top? If we discount all of that then yes, it didn't change the result. I understand he made terrible decisions both ways but none of the ones against you were clear game changers. Itsnot the first time recently that refereeing absurdity or outright incompetence has either definately or quite possibly cost us a win. Its rather tiresome.

Yep the spoiling tactics employed today by Widnes should have been nipped in the bud early doors but Childs did nothing about them and they got well out of hand.

Nonsense. You're just trying to swerve the issue. Neither team up to that point had been particularly bad. My own gripe is not with Wakefield, it was a tight game that deserved a better referee.

Feck me......watch a replay of the game and see how many times we coughed up possession in the first half....into double figures without a doubt.....a lot of them unforced errors aswell.....if that's not particularly bad I don't know what is?

The success we have had in winning our last five games has been built around quick play the balls and Andy Ellis getting good quick distribution to Tim Smith to give him those extra few seconds to work his magic......Widnes absolutely killed us in that department tonight (and fair play to them for that).....we did nothing at all first half...

At times in the 2nd half we got moving a bit quicker and made countless clean breaks.....still though we weren't as clinical as we have been of late...

Despite the messing around at the play the ball I was impressed with Widnes with ball in hand....they looked dangerous at times and caused us problems...they've come a long way from the beginning of the season and will only be better next season......think Hanbury going off for that short spell in the 2nd half had as much an impact as the sin binning....
