| What is MK's agenda? I thought he was off to build a brand new stadium in Liverpool and put a rugby league team in it, now he seems to be every chemic's new bezzie mate.
Fair play if he's helping out in crisis, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that there's more to this than meets the eye.

| He’s just helping out. He had talks with the club which fell through but still likes Widnes. Said last night at the fund raiser he’s still going ahead with the Liverpool idea but “never say never” about getting involved at Widnes.

| I think this Liverpool idea is going to be very very difficult to achieve, especially if a new stadium is part and parcel of the plan. Sounds like another of his ideas that doesn't get off the ground, and there must be a reason as to why his bids have failed at Bradford and recently at Widnes.

To be honest, I don’t think he was expecting the large scale of debt he found to be at Widnes.

| With the experience of trying to buy Bradford (albeit in the wife's name) "how much is the debt" would have been the first question to ask. Maybe you're spot on as it's plausible that when he new he backed out without making a bid. Bottom line is, it's debt that finally tips RL clubs into administration in the first place, so it's difficult to know for sure.

It was him and one of our regular sponsors, Luke Backhouse (the guy he’s creating Liverpool with). They both seemed very keen but when they went in for talks before administration it opened up a can of worms to the debt and problems Widnes have. The old regime I believe didn’t treat these two very well at all.
If they hadn’t had held talks in January, I believe firmly that both would be in the driving seat to steer us out of administration. However in the meantime, the whole Liverpool venture has started to materialise.
If we’re liquidated this week, I wouldn’t be surprised if both started a new Widnes club which entered league 1 next season.

For sure, he will be weighing up the cost of buying Widnes, with it's associated debts vs starting afresh.
It will depend just how much of the debt has to be cleared to allow him to take the reins and if the deal doesn't look attractive enough, he will walk away and spend his brass elsewhere.
Having said that, he is seriously loaded and you would expect that trying to work with him could be helpful, depending on whether he's wanting to save Widnes or just get a way back into the game. Time will tell.

| Koucash is an attention seeker he turns up at every club that’s in trouble pretending to be there saviour and ends up doing nothing the Liverpool club will soon be forgotten as quick as his Cumbrian super club he was setting up was and to be honest if your a multi millionaire any debt a RL club has isn’t that big in the grand scheme of things

| Koukash is good at spending money except when it comes to paying bills which is why Salford were in the mire. The guy should stick to hose racing.

| I don't know why everyone is so down on cool and calm kooky Koukash. He is spending Koukash cash, but the recipients don't appreciate him.
Salford Red Devils, with its feeble fan base, and its poorly located and poorly transport serviced stadium, was just not worthy of his generosity.

He should have bought Bradford instead

His interest in Bradford didn't appear extend to paying off debt, nor in a credible funding of a new start up club. He had the chance to buy Bradford but didn't (not withstanding the odd rumour of him funding us secretly which is so contrary to his style I find hard to believe). So if you assume that Bradford and Widnes are both (broadly speaking) equivalent attractive propositions, then you'd assume that he isn't coming to save Widnes, unless it's to relocate.

Still banging that drum eh, just what the hell is your problem with the supporters who turn up to Salford games.
