Suppose you are a Wire fan, so I wouldn’t expect you to know.

What stadium would you suggest both clubs share?

I have no idea and only a passing interest but you probably understand that? What my post did say was that the idea of a ground share seems to be dismissed out of hand and fairly easily on the basis that it would disenfranchise one or both sets of fans or will signal a merger.

Not really - it's dismissed by sensible people because there isn't a stadium to share, and no realistic expectation of one being available any time in the medium-long term future, so the argument is moot.
It's a tad annoying when people assume that they only thing stopping a magical inflatable stadium popping into existence in West Yorks is the intransigence or incompetence of one or the other of the two clubs - when in fact, neither club, the shared Council or the respective developers have the money to provide one.

Well stay as you are then I'm not that bothered and in hindsight regret making a comment
For the record I was only responding to another poster who brought the subject up and in defence of both clubs. I fully support my ground share comment as I said I don't get it particularly if there isn't money for two stadiums, there might be and I DON'T KNOW and very much doubt it from what you stated above, enough money for one stadium or at least a better business case?
No reason to get annoyed IMO and to state that alternative proposals can be dismissed by "sensible people" might true or might as easily be construed as short sighted or unrealistic.
Anyway did Wakefield bid for Widdop?

Don't get me wrong - I would love for the situation to move on; if you think the rest of the RL world is sick of hearing excuses, how do you think we feel?!
The unfortunate reality is that both clubs are reliant on property developers who are in turn reliant on the commercial reality of their respective ventures; one is hopeful but stuck, and the other is bent and intransigent - and none of the good people of Cas or Wakey, or the less good people at WMDC, can do a damn thing about it.
Apologies if I snapped at you - it was more frustration with the whole situation, and the sometimes simplistic view that people on the outside can take; you made a perfectly innocent comment and I ranted - soz.
No we didn't bid for Widdop - we didn't want to artificially inflate his market value to Warrington's detriment; our Chairman would never interfere in another clubs business in that way, as any fule kno.

There's nothing more embarrassing than trying to make yourself look like you know what your talking about when your absolutely clueless, as for Widdop, it's a bit pointless really as we can't compete with the drinking culture at your club.

The point was that the Wakefield ground 'discussion' took place on a Widdop bidding war thread so I'm not embarrassed at all why don't you lighten up?
Also read my original post I never alluded to knowing the ins and outs of your situation I was responding to another poster and said that I don't get it and think that you've been let down by others, so wasn't having a go at your club but if you think differently then I can assure you that you are mistaken but either way I won't be losing any sleep

It's probably as close as were going to get to an UNESCO world heritage site in our town FMC.

No problem Bren I can't remember the thread but recently discussed the ground situation with a Wakefield poster on the basis our new ground has transformed our club and hoped that the lift that we had was experienced by you guys and others as we need stronger teams and greater interest across the board so good luck

Let's be fair here, having Richard Agar as a coach would turn anybody to drink, the good thing is he can't afford to drink in Hernando's on Wakey wages.

You're absolutely right on that score - it seems that with Wakey now out of the financial roller-coaster years, and a frugal but sensible Chairman in place, the only thing stopping us moving on is the lack of a decent, modern facility; unfortunately, that 'only thing' costs about 15 million quid, which is quite a barrier.
Hey ho - I suspect the outcome will be a tarted up BV, which is just about the most sub-optimal result we could have hoped for, but given the years of frustration, many fans will welcome an end to the back and forth and consider it good enough - I don't, but what do I know?
