I heard a vicious rumour that the players would play by the rules.

On further investigation it was found only to be a rumour and so everything will continue as " normal".

Sin binning will become the cop out soon though.

I wouldn't call it a cop out, especially compared to on report which was essentially meaningless.

It's good of Shaun Wane to point out this hideous curse of players "appealing to referees" which is blighting our game.

I look forward to him keeping schtum on the subject of referees for the rest of the season, lest he unduly influence their performance to his side's benefit.

I remember many years back at Odsal Rob Burrow being warned by the ref for constant appealing. Every time Burrow was at acting halfback he was doing the Angry Birds arms-in-supplication thing, next PTB he did it again and got sin-binned

Funny thing is, they have it as a signal for a set play now. Smarter play. Same thing happened with Diskin I think tapping on his wrist.

I remember Steve Ganson giving an awful decision against Ablett who burst out laughing at him, Ganson walked him 10 with his serious face on and his chest puffed out like the cock of the walk he thought he was when he go in to 'that' mood only to have to make that idiotic mouth tapping gesture in front of a bunch of bemused and laughing players.

Ref did well tonight for me. Other than maybe making Hock walk the first time he used the knee.

Child is awful and he is ruining this game. Lost control completely and the game is terrible to watch due to the constant stoppages/penalties/fights.

I think Child couldve dealt with earlier issues better so it didn't lead to this, but the ultimate responsibility lies with players who can't control themselves.
