Got it in writing a couple of days ago and the first DD for £6.50 went out of the bank today!

Got a courtesy call today asking how I was enjoying Setanta, when I said I wasn't because the reason I pay £12.99 a month is for the three weekly NRL games and they have been reduced to one the girl said she'd ask her supervisor why, when she returned she said it was because Setanta hadn't got the NRL fixture list so until they get it they will only be showing one game!!!!!!
Anyway she then asked me if I would cancel I told her that I wasn't sure, she then offered me £10.99 for a 6 months contract or £9.99 for a 12 month one which she said I wouldn't want as she new I would be cancelling after the NRL grand final!

£10.99 is obviously better than £12.99 but I'd rather have the three games for the full price.

Three weeks after my contact I'm still waiting for a response from a "5 working days" answer so I've bothered them again with this..

[iI contacted you with a complaint regarding me signing up to yourselves with the promise of 2/3 australian rugby league matches per week (advertised by yourselves) to have had one match per week since i joined. YOUR AUTOMATED EMAIL SAID I WOULD GET A RESPONSE WITHIN 5 DAYS "THREE WEEKS LATER I'VE HEARD NOTHING" This is shoddy at best. I am contacting OFFCOM to see what they think. I know it's still only 1 game per wkend at the moment but was wondering if anybody had any more details before I cancel my subscription.

i rang up to cancel last night, told em i was unhappy about the reduction on nrl, girl explained very nicely its due to contractual gubbins and various tv companies bidding/fighting for the rights to show(tried not to snort down the phone) gave me some BS about the magners league, politely declined any interest in that and then she offered me 3 months at half price, at which point i can ring and cancel if things aren't back to normal.

Granted, its not the best offer ever but i watch the UFC on occasion and although i was serious about cancelling, i was in two minds as its the lesnar v mir fight in july, but i couldn't justify full whack between now and then.

I can watch that then bin it.


Though the impression she gave me over the nrl games really didn't sound positive at all, there was no "it's changing back, i promise you" attempt at lying to me.
