| Featherstone is a very good Championship team. They will probably be in the playoffs next year. However they are unlikely to beat Toulouse again.

Less than half that booking 4 days before flying out - direct from Manchester with 2 night stay. You probably need to search around a bit more...

The height of their ambition is to be a small fish in tiny puddle masquerading as a pond.
Taking the best team out of the Championship only devalues the Championship.
To only want to play lower quality teams is depressing.'"
You do realise that Leeds have been that bad this season, and that you have been on TV that many times, suicide has been contemplated throughout the whole world of the rugby league watching that dross? BTW - You just can't help yourself but to continuously ridicule rugby league clubs outside of SL. This posh, snobbish approach is exactly what is wrong with the game with people like you. Let's just hope we don't have another season from the Whino's like we've just had, otherwise you'll get the game stopped altogether . Anyway, how about giving SL clubs £200,000 each next year and the Championship £1.9 million instead? Talking of quality, if we get the same again from Leeds next season , you should be removed from the game in order for rugby league to flourish in this country. Sky will have learned their lesson now,and we might only see the Whinos maybe once or twice next year, and that would be more than anyone could take.

I can also confirm that when the Leigh v Bradford fixture comes round, I look forward to it hell of a lot more than the Tonto fixture.

| Toronto brought more fans than Featherstone to Bradford. Unlike the flat cappers they didn’t cause any trouble either. In fact they were brilliant so in that respect it’s a shame.
Still the planning of fixtures and costs involved in away games there were astronomical for championship clubs even with Toronto covering the flights and hotel. Also they basically won every game.
In superleague we already know they are going for it which means one of the establishment elite will be relegated just in time for the reduction in funding to kick in. I’ll enjoy watching that I reckon one of Hull KR and Wakefield are toast.

Or like this year the team that finished 11th last year makes the grand final! Is that not how a well managed salary cap is supposed to work?

Let’s see let’s see. It definitely won’t be Toronto going back down though which is a great thing.
Enjoy home games against them they were great at odsal a real carnival atmosphere in the stand. They have a lot of ex pat fans in the U.K.Certainly better than about 100 morons in flat caps shouting racist abuse.

A great thing in some regards but not for fans of automatic promotion, I suspect. Toronto up moves the "pull up the ladder" option that much closer to a return.

It will totally go against what hudgell is telling us rovers fans then, as he says you must produce from within
Rovers 1 Toronto 0
Late to recruit we got guaranteed promotion 3 weeks before Toronto
Rovers 1 Toronto 0
If Toronto are definitely not going down then please explain.

Almost doesn't matter with the 2 marquee player rules.
It will be interesting if there is any benefit in the exchange rate for them (as with Catalan).
The set the exchange rate against the Euro very favourably for Catalan, effectively giving them an additional 20% over the top of the cap.
I dont know if this has been reduced yet ??

It’s not set “very favourably” that’s misleading.
It’s set at the exchange rate however then events such as the quick and deep dip in the strength of the pound is taken into account. Because obviously Catalans like any club have players on contracts that were negotiated when the exchange rate was “better”.
For instance in 2015 a Euro was worth 70p in 2016 it was worth 90p.
You can’t expect Catalans to just drop a massive % of their salary cap because of UK issues. Not to mention the average wage in France is higher than in the UK.
There has to be graduated correction in the exchange rate used for Catalans salary cap.

Perhaps you could tell us when the exchange rate was agreed and how much "advantage" that actually gives them in cap spend.
From memory and please excuse me if I'm wrong, the rate was agreed at something like 1.45 euros to the £, giving them in todays money almost 30% spend advantage.
Of course it's not free money but, it gives them plenty of wiggle room.
I agree that it cant be changed too frequently as this would cause problems with contracts but, the point remains.
Maybe lessons will be learned for TWP and set the cap will be set in sterling ?
