Okay, I'm saying this one more time: there is no evidence to suggest the rfl buying the lease to odsal is them showing preference to any other team that has had financial difficulty. It has been done in the past for clubs in financial difficulty, and should the need rise again, and another club OFFER the rfl a lease to a stadium, there is no evidence to suggest the rfl won't continue with this precendent.

Agreed an overhaul of the whole system is needed the problem is under 7s and international team fall under two different governing bodies - we're never going to have a coherent system while that's the case

The key starting point is to get the game under the same umbrella in this country, run by people independent of club/league affiliations, with the authority to make the decisions for the betterment of the game.

That is the platform from which all other decisions need to develop from.

From that the next set of decisions, some which would put peoples noses out of joint, would be developed but that is another story.

Without the first step, the rest of the journey cannot continue.

Without that kind of cohesive force, the game at all levels will continue to lurch from crisis to small success back to crisis continuously as it does now.

Oh, and I realised this a long time ago, this would not be easy. It would need a complete change of attitude by people, something not easily done but without it the first step couldn't even be taken for a journey to benefit the game as a whole in this country and eventually the Northern Hemisphere.
