I would be willing to bet that all of the people who think that this is a good idea do not support clubs in CC1.

The first season will be the hardest to get the new league off the ground and if one or more of the more established CC1 sides missed out on promotion in 2012 then even the one season at that level will be VERY hard for them. At least it means some meaningful promotion for once in RL

I doubt there are many in the Championship who see it as a good thing either , even though they have sorted out our problem with regards games , they have just put more problems on the C 1 clubs

That’s fine as long as the club lasts long enough to do that. We will hardly be able to build a promotion winning side on the back of the crowds we will get in the proposed league.

As for the list above. I would ditch Chester (what league do they play in) & Medway not a high enough standard. Oxford not high enough standard.

Hemel is a yes they have playing all over for years. Cov is good if they can keep it up. Notts should be in rather than Northampton.

As for Bristol would like them to step up to RLC and see how they do for a couple of years.

Rimmer said yesterday that it will be the Champions, both Grand Finalists, and the next highest placed team from the league standings.

Why not 2 up and the play offs to decide the other 2 I wonder, the team finishing 2nd know they are up whatever happens but have to go through the play offs but the Champions do not.
