He got sent off because he plays for Salford. These kind of calls always favour teams in the top half of the table. Not saying he didn't deserve it, just that the decision would have been different depending on the team played for.
As for Hock. Needs a lengthy ban.

I wonder what Matt King has done to upset him? It looked to me that he pulled Kings hair in the tackle prior to the elbow in the face on the ground.

He definitely pulled Kings hair... very cheap and dirty for me. There are plenty of players who play the game very hard and fair, there is no need to resort to pulling hair. I was hoping all game that he would try something on Carvell and get panned (but as with all players of his type, they won’t take on the really hard men)

Carvell?
I've seen hair pulling hundreds of times before, nothing will come of it. In fact I remember when Sean Long had his little pony tail thing, someone pretty much stopped him making a break by pulling his hair back. IIRC Longy saw the funny side of it, unlike King who has a yfit.

If you are laughing at the idea of Garreth Carvell being a hard man then I have to question your knowledge of Rugby League

I don't think King complained about the hair pulling at all, he only seemed to be complaining about the facial on the ground.

Are you allowed to attempt to kick a ball out of somebodys hands ?

It isn't the fact they lost , it's the manner they took that loss which is the issue here , they behaved appallingly once they knew it was gone , that is not acceptable in our sport or in life in general , I am no lover of W1g4n being from Leyth , but you should treat both success and failure the same

| The RFL need to get a grip of the way Wigan play this game of ours, they are becoming a disgrace and playing a mongrel game and testing the limits of gamemanship.
Cheating, V signs to Spectators, Head/Neck Tackles, Spear Tackling, Pulling Hair, "Eye Gouging", Sliding Feet towards the Face, Tackling against the knee joint.
The game will be a lot better adopting the Warrington Style of Play as the Wigan Way is Ugly.

The hock incident is shocking and his season may well be over BUT this thread is just mainly sour grapes, if Wigan were mid-table mediocrity this wouldn't be discussed half as much.

V-signs - Myler/Mathers/Briers all doen that in a Wire shirt
Head tackles - Morley, Carvell, Anderson all done this in the past (grapple tackle on Sam today)
Warrington's way apears to include these too.

Nope I think you will find its the way Wigan play the game, win at all costs and spit their dummy out when they dont, the really annoying thing is they do not need to do it if they palyed the game correctly then they would be appluaded. Look at what Smith has done for Warrington, they used to be cheap shot merchants reknowned for their head shots, Smith has cleaned this up and they (I hate to say it) play a hard expansive game and are a team to be feared and respected for it. As far as Wigan are concerned they have bought into the coaches win at all costs approach, they bend the rules as far as they can in the tackle, trap defenders arms and throw themselves around to win penalties. How many times do we see tacklers going into joints and the FB going in with knees and feet, Lima is a disgrace and must have his own seat at Red Hall and has lowered his self to pulling hair like a school girl, Hock is just a thick thug who should never have been allowed back on the playing field again, maybe the RFL will grow some hairy ones and do the right thing with him. I hope for the games sake and for some of the talented players at Wigan that when the coach goes at the end of the year they ditch these appaling tactics and return to playing the game the way it should be played.
