Oh?
So Huddersfields Highest average attendance for a season in SL beats Castlefords highest average for a season SL and wakeys
I stand corrected and well done (again) Huddersfield
Proof of what can be achieved with a bit of faith in Marketing and Promotion!!

For a mod you do come out with some crap from time to time unless it was a poor attempt at humour which for an adopted scouse is very poor. Perhaps you might think about letting Warrington swallow you up then you would have some claim to fame other than having the easiest route to North Wales via the Runcorn bridge, oh and the Tesco stadium.

Not sure, rlcastigers.netrl probably has the answer.
I know the club sold around 10,000 tickets to the NL1 Grand Final against Widnes in 2007, so the ability for Cas to significantly increase crowds in a new ground is certainly there.

What has a new stadium got to do with glory fans attending a final ? , a final that involved promotion back to SL therefore worth millions to the club , in fact probably THE most important club game played in the last 4 years

It means that there are 10,000 people interested in what Castleford Tigers are doing. It means that there are people who could be attracted to more Castleford Tigers rugby league matches. It's much easier to attract people to a plush stadium in the middle of one of the most popular entertainment centres and retail park outside of London than it is to a decrepit stadium opposite a redundant chemical factory.

| There is no better place to build a stadium in the whole of the Wakefield district than Glasshoughton. In fact, im not sure they could wish for a better location.
The only thing i would put as a negative, is im not sure why people will identify with a club called castelford, playing in Glasshoughton when there are very few people from Cas.

We already get quite a few fans from ponte, knottingley, selby, kippax, methley, altofts, allerton, normanton, featherstone (i personally know several) and even as far afield as barsnley. Another positve is how many new houses are be built in the area, a couple of thousand new houses will be built within 2 miles of the ground in the next few years.
With new the stadium should bring more money, and with that a more competative squad and more marketing 10k is more than achievable.
