Both players should be playing at a higher level than Widnes in all honesty.

The only problem with Wigan is that they offload there good young players, its unbelievable how many ex Wigan youngsters ply there trade in SL, championship and league one. Will they keep the Tomkins brothers, Ainscough and McIlorum, of course one as just left to Australia, thats Wigans only problem, brilliant at producing players but rubbish at keeping them. |

Haggerty is a SL player imo.
Widnes must of been the only club to offer him a deal in that area as he only left Quins to return home. |

Flanagan has gone to Australia to be with his girlfriend, it was a personal decision as opposed to a business decision. The only player Wigan released who I would take back is Briscoe. At the time he was behind Radlinski and was still jsut a young lad when he went to Hull. |

So obviously not good enough for Wigan then.
You could turn the argument round and say that we are good judges of talent. We don't keep hold of average players. Of all the players that have left the club the only ones I'd take back tomorrow are Stephen Wild and Shaun Briscoe. |
