| Good win Dragons, the Panthers played okay but made too many errors which eventually cost them. I thought the Lewis No Try should have been given BOTD which would of made it 12-12 but it was ruled out and then Soward sprinted 70-80 metres which killed it for the Panthers. Great to see Jeremy Smith back from injury and he got 2 tries aswell, He's a big boost for the Dragons with the finals approaching. That's top spot sewn up IMO and i just dont see anyone else winning the GF unless Jamie Soward gets injured. Manly, Dogs and Storm are the only real threat but the only ones who could beat them in the final IMO is Manly if they get Brett Stewart back but my money is on the Dragons.

Would it surprise you to know that they only made 3 errors more than StG/Ill? And the riff had 1 more set? (Pen 25/37 StG/Ill 27/36). In fact StG/Ill missed 3 more tackles last night and gave away 3 more penalties.
Just shows what difference a bit of class St George Illwarra are in what they do with their possession.

Three Dragons players have been charged with dangerous throws by the match review committee.
Justin Poore will receive a 2 game ban with an early guilty plea, Beau Scott 1 game and Matt Prior 1 game.
They can cope without Prior as Jeremy Smith is back and Young will play SR when Fien is on at at hooker, Poore is a big loss but they've got Weyman, Hunt, Saffy. Beau Scott will be a loss too cos he and Sailor defend either side of Soward but Bennett will probably put Chase Stanley in the centres. There only playing the Raiders anyway.

CANBERRA V ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA, at Canberra Stadium, saturday 7:30pm
RAIDERS: Josh Dugan, Daniel Vidot, Jarrod Croker, Joel Monaghan, Phil Graham, Terry Campese, Josh McCrone, Dane Tilse, Alan Tongue (capt), Scott Logan, Joel Thompson, Bronson Harrison, Josh Miller. Interchange: Tom Learoyd-Lars, Travis Waddell, Troy Thompson, Joe Picker, Trevor Thurling (one to be omitted)
DRAGONS: Darius Boyd, Brett Morris, Beau Scott, Matt Cooper, Wendell Sailor, Jamie Soward, Ben Hornby (capt), Justin Poore, Nathan Fien, Michael Weyman, Dean Young, Ben Creagh, Neville Costigan. Interchange: Dan Hunt, Jeremy Smith, Chase Stanley, Jarrod Saffy, Jason Nightingale, Jon Green (two to be omitted)
Referees: Ben Cummins, Brett Suttor
JUSTIN Poore's stunning run with rugby league officialdom continued when the St George Illawarra front-rower was virtually let off scot free for his dangerous throw tackle on Penrith winger Shane Elford.
Poore's counsel Geoff Bellew SC successfully put forward a case for a downgrade of the grade two charge, following a tackle which forced Elford from the field and left the Panthers veteran with several facial injuries.
I'm very happy with the hearing I received and I'm very excited to play Canberra this week," was all Poore offered after the hearing, his availability sure to help the Dragons in their bid to secure the NRL minor premiership.
It wasn't all good news for the Dragons, though, with centre Beau Scott rubbed out for one game after being found guilty of a dangerous throw. Scott also left with 80 carry-over points.

www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 66,00.html
The Bulldogs have signed Mickey Paea from the Dragons on a two year deal. They've also signed Blake Green from the Sharks and Panthers winger Junior Tia Kilifi, i know El Masri is retiring but they have already signed Steve Turner from the Storm so i dont know why they've signed Tia Kilifi and the Sharks half Blake Green cant even make a very poor Sharks team, I thought they were chasing the young kid Mortimer from the Eels.
