Paul Parker was definately with us, but he unfortunately had to leave due to travelling. I am not sure wherther he made an appearance for us actually. . .

| Workington once signed 6 players in one go from Warrington (circa 1997 IIRC) and none of them were particularly memorable. The roll of (dis)honour was...
Andy Currier
John Thursfield
Andy Bennett
Carl Roden
Damian Whitter
Steve Heaton
Not long after that we signed 2 more players from the Wire, and they were even worse.....
Mateaki Mafi
Richard Henare

| Any Rovers fans remember Keith Beauchamp from the 1998 season?! Australian winger who came across about half-way through the season when (IIRC) we were top of Div 1, and I thought he was going to help in us winning the league/GF. Started great with 2 tries (I think against Dewsbury) but think that was pretty much it from him.

Is he a relative of Paul's? Unfortunate first name, what were his parents thinking?

| Rovers had a player from Rochdale, second name Owen? (fullback who had spent some time in jail IIRC) don't think he stuck around for long.
Another one for Hull KR: Casey Mayberry!

Matt Calland and Marvin Golden won't go down as Rovers legends either eh!
Then there was that guy from York (think called Damien Ball?) who we swapped three players for but then quickly binned him!

Oh right, fair enough. Just seemed really wierd at the time the way it happened.
Wasn't thinking of Mark Cain, can hardly remember him to be honest?!
O/T Was told the other day that Phil Hasty is now playing for East Hull. Think his contributions to our revival the last few years are sometimes not praised enough - great player on his day.
