Wakefield do have a ground!

They have the option to stay at Belle Vue, in fact there are two legal restrictive covenants that prevent Wakefield from being removed from Belle Vue unless a suitable alternative venue, fit for purpose is available. Those covenants are part of the Deeds and are therefore written into any transaction for the sale of the ground.

If/When Savilles confirm the likelihood of the New stadium being delivered by mid 2013 the RFL will allow Wakefield to continue staging SL games at Belle Vue until The new stadium is ready.

Wakefield & Crusaders have been punished for their Administration, are you suggesting that despite the new owner at Trinity being financially sound the RFL should punish us again?

Bit of a difference Gutterfax - the Wakey campaign has only been running on FB for a very short time, whereas I'm guessing the Fulcrubronquins Experiment one (which I would refuse to 'Like' on principle ) has probably been on there at least a year.

Hey before you mention yesterday's result, yes we are doing appauling and yes we need a new coach, but according to a Wakey fan's estimate we took upto 2000 there yesterday, meaning my statement the other day that we would take more there then the attendance for your game on Friday has just about been proved correct.

Clan, please tell me how you can convince the, I'm sorry to say, idiots who believe otherwise, some who are supposedly smart people! Our board is full of conspiracies and that makes us look a joke as much as Facebook groups and talks of petitions. There are weekly threads on the attendances at Harlequins or Crusaders that make us look so bitter (talkign about counting the crowd on Saturday from the TV pictures), especially when you can't post the reality of the situation without being slagged off.

The key to my statement is the first few words, a Wakefield club lurching from disaster to crisis was not favoured by the RFL but the change of ownership, the stability of the finances and a demonstrable timeline by ultra credible individuals for the delivery of the new stadium changes everything.

And these 'ultra credible individuals' have a chance to prove they are 'ultra credible' that the change of stadium is going to happen, that the marketing plan is going to work and the club is financially secure through the franchise process. But only they can do this, and whether they do or dont do this is solely down to them and has sod all to do with Crusaders or any other club.

It isnt Savilles job to create and evidence Wakefields franchise bid. They give the RFL an opinion on certain aspects of it, but they neither prepare the bid or judge it, so im not sure what you think is Savilles Job

An individual such as Andrew Glover has the resources and the business & managerial acumen to deliver the much needed stadium for Wakefield.

He has a (potential) ready made solution with Newmarket, should that get the green light from the PI. However should the PI go against the trust and WT the government office has to suggest a suitable site as part of their refusal for the current site. Should this happen I'm sure Mr Glover could "move the plans" to the suggested site/develop his own plan (which I believe he is already doing as a contingency plan).

If you look at the amount of companies under AG's direction and their individual/combined value a project such as a community stadium may be equal/smaller than some of his large glass production facilities when you consider the value of the machinery to make the facility profitable.

If you have a proven track record of successful business ventures and a good credit rating raising £15M may not be as hard as some (Richard Wright) would have you believe.

Yes Wakefield have been mismanaged for years, who has born the brunt of this? Us the WT fans! Have we ever seriously brought the elite leagues credibility into question? No. Have we ever finished bottom of the pile? No. Granted we've never won any silver wear but we've dam well give SL it's fair share of tooth and nail performances, showing the grit and determination that makes our game great. All we want is 3 more years to carry on this fresh start!
