Hang on. It is a very long season. Huddersfield and Catalans should do better as the season reaches the warmer months. But I have to admit that the Robert Lui and Jackson Hastings combination will probably keep Salford from relegation.

| I have to say I predicted Salford win and I think they'll go OK.
Depth of squad will cost them but the half backs are outstanding and will take them far.

Just glad I don’t support a team that is reliant on the weather.

Why should Huddersfield and Catalans do better when warmer weather comes around Barry? They both have bigger packs than Salford so logic says the big boys will suffer more in the heat with the reduced interchanges.
Let's see some facts rather than your usual botty talk.

The problem is it's standard every year for pretty much every fan of every club to have Salford in the bottom 2 as it's an "obvious" choice. Plenty of other teams getting "bigged up" with very little justification because they're a more glamourous club.
Yes we will struggle if we get a horrendous list of injuries due to squad size but if we get a fair crack of the whip them our first 17 isn't one of the worst 4 In SL. Throw in a quality spine and we have the potential to cause any team problems. Do we think we'll win anything? No. But it's pretty f"cking annoying hearing people tipping the likes of KR and Leeds to have a decent season (just 2 examples) when bar a couple of decent recruits each they haven't exactly signed that much (Lannon and Hauraki prime examples being not that great at Salford).

It’s never just about the players or more importantly their reputations, which is something the snob pundits on here and in the media don’t ever seem to get.
Every season is a clean sheer - both ways imo. Teams and players who looked poor last year can often with a little tweaking be great this. It’s as if these self proclaimed experts think that people never change when in fact they do.
Most coaches learn, some players grow up whilst others grow old. RL is a short lifetime so it’s very fluid and things can change dramatically in twelve month.
I understand the need to predict a winner and there is tbf a bit of science to it and anyway it’s fun and hurts no one. Picking a relegation team seems a negative and often vindictive activity usually based on either pre-conceived opinion, bias or dislike.
Personally I have no idea where Wakey or Salford will finish. Saints and Warrington will be competitive, I’ll go that far. London have a difficult task and even if they win today it will remain so.
So why not enjoy a competitive season, view each team on current form and every game one at a time and drop the elitist nonsense is what I say. It won’t happen but hey
