Hopefully this clashes with the Liverpool marathon and hotel prices will be £250 for the weekend.

Great City is Liverpool. Matthew Street will be busy . Only downside is there isn’t much to do around Anfield .
The Sandon , Albert & Arkles are close by but won’t be able to accommodate the footfall for MW.

Surely the RFL will utilise Stanley Park and use this as a fanzone . The hotels in the city are pretty expensive at the best of times , especially a bank holiday weekend .

Luckily we booked 6 weeks ago .

I said it on the other thread, stay in Southport and get the train to Sandhills (about 30 minutes running every quarter hour until late) then get the Soccer bus from the station. Done my bit for the local tourist industry.
