| I think the low attendance allowed the Warrington Fans to get out of the ground very quickly..........The Warrington Whoosh

I guess because we're used to going there, unlike many other teams, we're more familiar with the layout...and know where the best places are to celebrate reaching the final...unlike many other teams.

| There might have been 50,000 tickets sold (or distributed free) but as the entire upper tier was closed, and there was still plenty of empty seats in the lower tier and Club Wembley, there wasn't 50,000 people in the ground.
We paid £10 for top tier tickets - four individual bookings so seated separately too - and upon entering the ground we were given four tickets together in the lower tier that I think were worth £50 each. Far happier with that than I was with Wires' performance.

Historically you have more losses than wins though so I should imagine celebrating reaching the final is good if you accept being second best.

"It's the refs fault again". Biggest moaning whingers in RL.: |
|
| On top of this defeat it's embarrassing for Warrington to involved in a Challenge Cup final with it's lowest attendance for so long.
It just goes to show that Wire are not a big draw for the neutrals.

Its not good but it's better than not being there at all. I'm sure you'll agree.

Wembley I can just about handle, but I'd rather Wires never play in another Grand Final ever again than get there and lose again.

| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "The attendance isn’t relevant.
However, reasons for the lower than usual attendance
15,000 Club Wembley seats not automatically added on
Neutrals attending magic weekend instead of cup final
Closure of major London stations due to engineering
Rail strikes across the north of England
£20 and £30 tickets (usually cheapest not been on sale)
The cheapest available ticket was £40'"
Ah, the not so faint smell of B.S !!!
£10 tickets, £15 tickets, free tickets & Club Wembley "not automatically added on" joke, do you actually believe your own B.S ?
All of the upper tier closed, hardly a soul in Club Wembley, lower 2 tiers only approx two thirds full, cameras having to pan close ups to create the illusion of lot's of Les Cats fans *just as they did at Summer Bash with TW*, 50k announced attendance some of which were probably not even in attendance ....

50,000 is roughly the capacity of the lower tier and Club Wembley. Given the visible number of empty seats in both of them I would guess there was around 35,000 in the ground. I said the same for our final V Hull two years ago too. The crowd for that was obviously bigger than today, and the upper tier was open (I was in it) but the attendance announced was far higher than the number of people in the ground because there was visibly thousands of empty seats.

Wembley holds 90, courtesy of a quick Google just over 39,000 seats are in the top level. TV showed the lower levels to be busy but not full, real attendance was probably 40-45,000. That is no reflection on either Warrington or Catalans. The authorities have inadvertently undermined the attraction for neutrals with the Grand Final and Magic weekend.
It may be that the time has come to move the Final from Wembley. Eastlands, Anfield or The Olympic Stadium would all provide a better atmosphere.
Congratulations to Catalans though who will not give a hoot about the crowd.
