To me that result looks like Hull have decided they wont be able to catch the top four in the Super 8's so decided to condemn Leeds to the Middle 8's instead.

From the first tackle you could tell Hull weren't up for the battle. They weren't poor, they just didn't have any energy in their game.
Once Wakefield realised they just started running straight and hard.
I've seen us lose and play better this season.

Credit where it is due, the Hull fans came in numbers and cheered their team to the end and clapped them off.
When everyone is fit again I'm sure they'll be fine.

On balance Wakey played really well and Hull played really poorly, the two combined made a blow out score. Hull looked completely busted and were not match fit. Give them a few weeks and come the Super 8s when the teams play each other again I think it will be a much tighter affair. As much as I loved seeing Wakey win so convincingly I prefer to watch a competitive match.

It's hard to be too enthused about the 8s now. I guess we have to keep trying on the off chance that Warrington or Cas completely implode, but we look dead on our feet. Tbh I would be quite happy for us to play all the youngsters in the super 8s, finish 8th and be ready to go again next year.
