| Let's be honest, did he say anything wrong?
Cas can't defend
Saints were great
Refereeing has been an issue for a long time, he wasn't specifically referring to tonights game, but the bigger issue.
Ganson, underfunding and poor training for officials is a huge issue in the game but everyone has already decided to pass it off as sour grapes but will still moan about the refs the next time their team plays.

| Bit childish that from Powell. At the start of the game spoke about not being bothered about beating lower teams and wanting to test themselves against the better sides. Not so cocky 80 minutes later.
Cas got as many calls as saints did. Awarded a try which never was. Had a few knock on calls against saints that never were.

| Love powell but ffs don't blame the ref tonight. Acknowledge our failings in defence , acknowledge how good saints are but christ leave it there.
Saints are riding a good wave at the minute. They must be the only side to use as few as 22 players.
They are ruthless and tough right now.
When things don't go our way we are way too soft. We will improve with Eden Webster and eventually gale back in there. Ellis is an overweight championship half, Roberts should finish and Shenton is a good centre playing out of position.

If he wasn't referring to tonight's ref performance, then why mention them.

He didn't
WE CAN'T DEFEND
SAINTS WERE GREAT
Did everyone miss that part or something?
He did not mention anything the ref did tonight, or that the ref was to blame for Cas losing. The poor standard of refereeing in RL is an ongoing issue, yes?

Because this is at least the 5th game Kendall has had Cas this year in which he's made baffling and flat out incorrect decisions for both teams? Or that it's a continual issue of inconsistent refereeing so you don't know what application of the rules will be applied week to week?

| All SL is becoming is who has most luck with injuries. Hull and Wire were relatively injury free in 2016, Cas were in 2017 and Leeds did ok too. The current top 3 have had it better this year than the likes of Cas, Leeds and Hull.

It's almost like the teams that make it deep into the playoffs and/or cup play too many games and pick up more injuries the following year off the back of it...

So he's complaining that the ref gave them a try which obviously wasn't one. The rest of the match was pretty well reffed.

Come on, if the refereeing had nothing to do with it in Powell`s mind then he wouldn't have even come out with that.
He is throwing his teddy out of the cot because and looking for excuses for one of the worst performances defensively I have seen from any team in SL in a long time.

You watch Widnes play
He's added in the media interviews with "the players need to do their jobs better and so do the officials". He's clearly thought Kendall has had a shocker (and not for the first time) tonight, his view might change when he calms down and rewatches the game, who knows. But if everyone is honest with themselves, they agree that something needs to be done about the standard of officiating in the sport.

Exactly, and that`s what makes my statement even more shocking
I thought Kendall had a decent game tonight, bar the Watts try, although he is one of the worst refs out of the bunch IMO.

| Thought saints rode the early Cas pressure very well. Started with a very simple forward try, just shear will. Lots of saints fans under rate amor. He's not the biggest prop but has a determination and effort that makes up for any lack of statue.
