Catalans came to bring a spoiling game they didn’t quite manage it in the first half but I thought the ref started to turn a blind eye in the second half with holding down, offside and head shots which suited Catalans more.
For Saints there attack was below par but managed as usual to rely on there defence, Catalans put in an effort and could start to trouble a couple of teams who have a weaker defence.

What a truly dour game that was. Considering how there were saints fans lambasting the quality of the Cas wakey game last week, despite there been copious amounts of rain about. Last night was equally as bad. Maybe it was because barba wasn't playing?

Barba and Mead would have sparked the attack of each side.

What's up with Mead, he seems to be injured every week. Where is he gunna be next season after Catalans sign S Tomkins ?

Lots of time wasting by Catalans going down “injured” and nearly every try and no try went up to the video ref.
Both teams were allowed to play offside in the 2nd half so entertaining rugby was very much on the back burner, Catalans were
probably the happier in that they avoided a thrashing.

That was a sleeping tablet of a game. A absolute shocker. Lets hope Wire/Leeds is better

Interesting to see Saints brought their A game last week with Barba and their Z game this week without him ?

I think even Saints fans would admit that they are at least 30 percent less of a team without Barba and same goes for Roby. If either are missing business they will end up empty handed imo, on the other hand with both in the team they have a great chance of winning the lot.

We get this every season, Saints are not the same team without Walmsley, we are not the same team without Roby, and now we are not the same team without Barba.
Every team will suffer when 3 of there most effective players are missing so it’s not selective to a Saints side, we,ve played many seasons without our star players yet have still managed 19 play offs in 19 seasons of Superleague.
From the saints fans perspective Holbrook is more important than Barba.

Of course this rings true in the main. Just saying i think Saints do need both fit to win anything this year, from what i have seen so far.and i make my comment because many people already hanging medals round Saints players necks.(not saying you are BTW). FWIW i hope both stay fit because Saints are a great side to watch with those two pulling the strings, SL needs more of it.

Im always spot on with my predictions.

Just as an example, I said at the start of the season 1 and 2 would be Saints/Wigan.

I predicted that wakefield would beat us by 2 and they won by 4

I predicted that Huddersfield would be in the bottom 2.

I also predicted Cats would be top 8 so as you can see from my Pedigree, they will make the top 8
