At leastt Burgess had the balls to give it a go, unlike the Peacocks and Sinfields of super league. Unless it was a case that no NRL team thought those 2 were good enough.

I think there will still be a fair few players who head to the NRL over the next few years. They need to be smarter about which clubs they go to and wait for the right time. Burgess went too soon, I believe he will be a genuine world class winger in another couple of years when he could probably go as a first choice and make a good go of it. He went to a team where he had to try and break into the side and only got the odd game here and there as a result.

Believe me I've tried the pies and other baked goods in Australia and they're not as good as you get in the north of England, the pastry just isn't quite right. It's the same down here in the South East, we have a local "award winning" independent bakery chain but I reckon they'd last about 5 minutes in the North as they're just not that nice and the price is well over the odds for the actual quality.

I had a very good pie from a stall in borough market. Other than that (unfortunately I haven't sampled any Australian ones) generally the ones up north are better.
