| Video ref what's the point, that is truly appalling, the video ref saying "he still got it there" even though he clearly stone cold lost it.
Absolutely the worst most blatant wrong decesion ever not even a 50/50 call.

| Quote Willzay="Willzay"Thought Monaghan knocked the ball forward for McMeeken try. Then Milner didn't touch the ball when tackling Dobson.'"
Happy with both of those decisions, especially Milner who clearly touched the ball. Just surprised Davies on commentary was the only one who was correct for a change.
That VR decision for Solomona's try was shocking though.....how could he say he couldn't see with those camera angles?

| That makes our sport look an absolute joke, not only was it clear the ball was never grounded it was clear he'd lost control. Silverwood should be sacked for that..incompetence of the highest order!

| One of the worst video referee decisions I've ever seen. If he can watch that three times and conclude that it's a try then he's clearly not fit to be a referee. I can deal with on field referees making mistakes but that is just an absolute joke of a decision.

Yep Silverwood, it wasn't as if the ball was millimetres away from touching grass, it was a good few inches away.

Here here, how does he justify that, it was plain to see he dropped it.

Yep. I can understand there can be differences of opinion on some issues, but that was absolutely clear. The ball never touched the ground at any point.
I agree with Knockersbump, it doesn't show the sport in a good light when an obvious decision can't be reached by a full time referee looking at a video.
I can understand Child thinking it was a try in real time, that was utter incompetence from Silverwood though.

| I'm still absolutely bewildered by that decision. You don't even need a good understanding of the rules to not give it. You could drag someone in off the street, sit them down in front of that video, explain that a try is given when someone puts the ball on the ground and then ask "Is that a try?". To which literally anyone, other than Silverwood, would reply "No, the ball never even touches the ground."

The daft thing was, Silverwood never said "yes it's a try".....he said he couldn't see a good angle so had to go with the on field decision.
Like you say I can understand when refs send some up as tries in realtime so likewise I can understand on a few occasions the VR isn't given great angles/replays to judge from to overturn but that was easy to see.

It's even close to being that, the tansy one did not even involve the video ref just a infield cock up, that today is just unacceptable.
