This is a cruel and unusual punishment for Christopher Chester. He recruited brilliantly a year ago, with Albert Kelly and Terence Campese, not to mention Joshua Mantellato. Christopher Chester had been hamstrung by injuriies to key players. The Chairman Mr Neil Hudgell, a solicitor, seems to be a very cruel and heartless individual.

I wonder if the new coach, Steven McNamara, will fare any better in the circumstances that he will inherit.

There's no doubt that a change of coach at any time can really enthuse and revitalize a Club and team. However, doing so when the season has started, no matter that it is at such an early stage, will mean that the rest of the season will be all about getting through it. A new coach will want to change things and do things their way and without a pre-season and a recruitment drive tailored to that coaches wishes, they'll be doing nothing but attempting to fix a large band aid into place until the season is over. that's why sacking a coach during the season doesn't really work in advancing a Clubs ambitions. They may survive and start playing better, but I think that's all that you can expect this season.

A shame for the HKR fans.

Given the huge gap between between the Top teams in SL (who got hammered in the WCS) and the likes of your team, I ought to perhaps come up with a more fitting and realistic descriptive because you're way below WBSLR. Your team would struggle to compete in the QLD (Intrust Super) Cup.

If only! The cap would have to be reduced by half to (£900k) for that to happen. Or just boot out the bottom 4 and make their middle 8 existence permanent



The SC is set at its current level for a reason. The Top SL clubs can afford it and sod the rest.
