| What a pillock...
He might well have more money than god, but he is clearly unsuited for a public facing role in sport; he talks like a drunk bloke in a pub who thinks he's cock o' the walk, and seems to lurch from one unprofessional outburst to the next.
Embarrassing.

| Quote Roy Haggerty="Roy Haggerty"It's not going to end well at Salford. I wish it would, but if you look at the money guys behind the successful clubs - McManus, Lenagan, Caddick, Davy, Pearson, O'Connor etc, then you see guys who may well have strong views, and certainly do fight for their clubs' interests, but they're also professional, almost entirely behind the scenes, and in for the long haul.

None of those you mention took over their respective clubs when they were at their nadir and having to take on huge debts.None of those you mention had to subsidise each and every home game.None of those you mention had the same stadium issues.
None of those you mention have been the magnet for disgraceful comment on social media, which would have driven lesser men well away from the family-friendly sport of rugby league.
I hope he isn't suffering from so much stress from all he has taken on that it impinges on his judgement to such a degree that Bobbie Goulding is really under consideration for any coaching position.

Do try and check your facts. Several owners have taken over clubs with substantial debts, likewise owners subsidise clubs - so in effect subsidise games. The number of owners with a variety of stadium issues are legion ! If you are unaware of these facts it may be because the owners get on with things maturely.
You are right that they are not social media 'magnets'. This is mainly because they have not spent too much time waffling on twitter.
I hope Dr K does challenge any potential libels ( I am amazed he has not shut down the latest Salford online article).
The reference to signing the lads from Leigh seems unprofessional and the suggested recruitment of Bobby G is an interesting judgement call.

Sums the man up pretty well, shouldn't it be the coaching staff who are looking at who to bring in?

...and so it continues. Press conference next Tuesday!'"
First up, why wait until Tuesday? Sounds like another hastily arranged deadline that gives him 7 days to come up with something to announce. Considering he's worth Trilions, why not just lodge 10 million in the Salford Red Devils bank account and "tweet" a copy of the account balance.
Secondly.....32 instances of "I" in that article, 12 "me" and only 17 times "Salford". He really does have a complex about people "picking on him".
Thirdly, "he's" chasing 2 world class props? Has he not learnt that he can sign stars all he likes, but they will remain a middle 8 team until he let's his management team build a squad that play as a unit.
I've no problem with his passion for the game, but if he wants to be taken seriously, he should let his players and coaches do the talking.

| I told Marwan to sign Gallen via Twitter months ago.
Who's Marty Taupau? Is he the guy on that video going round facebook scoring the tries against Souths?

Ken Davy took over Huddersfield when we were on the brink of going bust for about the 5th time in 10 years and has slowly built the club up from literally nothing.

Yes if only he was like Mr Beaumont, who recently was forced to delete his twitter account after spending a Sunday night threatening and abusing opposition players on there.

The funniest part of that Twitter meltdown was when he pretended it was son and not him!
