Had this in their pockets going into the game. Finally the scummy tactcis have come home to roost. This defeat rests almost entirely on the shoulders of Ben Flower.

Better team for 80 minutes and still lost through the sheer weight of the extra man.

TBF I think quite a few in purple tonight didn't deserved to be on the losing side. Had Wigan managed to somehow win I hope Flower wouldn't have been part of the presentation afterwards.

Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly proud of the rest of the team. But I can't lie - and I know this will be stronger than a lot of my fellow Wigan fans - if we had won it would have left a bitter taste in my mouth. The whole sequence of events was pretty shocking, Flower turning up the aggression too much when Lance tried to obstruct him, Hohaia flying in with an elbow (which could almost make the first punch understandable, but one of the first things I was taught was to defend yourself if you need to, but never retaliate, and Hohaia isn't really a threat to anyone in RL)... but the punch on the floor was inexcusable. Just sickening. Never going to be able to look at Flower the same way, which is a shame because up until today he was one of my favourite players.

Had some fun in the past at Paul Wellens expense for moments like the 2007 GF when he got made to look foolish by Scott Donald but got to say it was great to see his reaction and emotion as soon as the final whistle went, perhaps the highlight of the night for me.

was great to see the massive badge chest thump right in front of the wigan thugby supporters.

Flower actually knocked on just a second before with the try line begging. He takes that and he never get's sent off and wigan are a try up after 2 minutes.
