i realise most widnes fans are like most other fans, decent,law abiding people who go to games to enjoy them and the day, unfortunately they have an element that are nasty and should be eradicated from the game.

spot on, an element decided that the game was lost and were going to enjoy themselves, nothing wrong with that, but you got the feeling something was going to "kick off"
i remember a game a few years back at widnes, once the giants had won the game the widnes fans decided to start trouble with the giants fans... there was only about 100 of us but it seemed every idiot widnes fan had surrounded us and started throwing stuff and generally been intimidating, we had to have the stewards surround us until they had cleared the widnes fans out of the ground.

I don't go to many away games any more so can usually only judge on the away fans I see at Leeds. Unfortunately the Widnes fans who came to Headingley this year seemed to have a large element of drunken idiots amongst them. Much more aggressive than most other teams fans for some reason.

I know it's anecdotal and there are plenty of decent Widnes fans, but it was noticeable when they came to Headingley.

The scenes from Widnes fans at the semi final were pathetic and disgraceful.

Their biggest stage for nearly 20 years and the Widnes players played poorly and the Widnes fans let RL down.

I hope every single person who went on the pitch can be identified and banned from all of rugby league including the amateur game if they're involved in it.

Our fans were a disgrace, been watching Widnes for 30 years now but today there was a large section that were an embarrassment to the club.

Mass brawl with stewards and police during the game in the concourse. Tearing up stadium hoardings and throwing them at the stewards again during the game. throwing flares at their own supporters, again while the game was being played.

Then at the end we had ourselves a pitch invasion where again fans were attacking the hoardings and stewards, then leaving the stadium my little lad witnessed a Widnes supporter punching a police horse, nice.

And many of these fans had Widnes tops on, this was no group of idiots who were jumping on the bandwagon. Ban them all and fine the club. And given the amount of trouble, i can only imagine it will be a healthy fine.

Just on my way back. I'm in shock. Widnes completely ruined what would have been a special moment for Cas fans, a moment we haven't seen for 20+ years. They were punching the mascot, starting fights, goading Cas players, etc, to the point where Cas players weren't even allowed on the pitch to thank their fans. They need to be banned/fined. Appalling, and such a shame that it ruined our day. But thankfully only 1 or 2 Cas fans retaliated.
