his knee slipped?? are you joking!'"
I'm not sure what that's supposed to prove. We already knew Hauraki's knee hit the Hull players head.
As mentioned before, he was trying to get up to play the ball. Maybe he should've been a bit more careful but it's nowhere near a ban and not even a penalty in my opinion. These things happen in a tackle.
If it is then each Hull player involved in the tackle on Millington deserve a long ban too.
But that would be ridiculous...

| Accidental contact with the head, 1-2 due to careless/ reckless behaviour and lack of care and consideration for players around him.
I'd be surprised if anyone outside of Hull and Stevo believed this was deliberate...

watching the replay back, doesnt look good, abdul isnt holding hauraki down, he clearly knows he is there and continues to plow his knees in, players have been penalised in the past for kicking out in the tackle for dangerous play, like the hock incident, unless watched back probably woulnt have noticed, only hauraki knos if the intent was there, live wouldve been difficult to decide, that lays in the hands of the rfl
he will cop a game ban for carelesness and i hope he hasnt done any damage to young abduls' neck!

| His knee hits him on the ear, not the neck - not that it makes the slightest bit of difference. Wish Abdull all the best.

| Hauraki is a house, but that one looked nothing more than a bit reckless; Hull do tend to stick around too long in the ruck, and he was obviously scrambling around a bit to try to convince the ref he was being impeded.
Reckless yes, but making a case for intent would be difficult; and I do wish Stevo would stop pronouncing players as guilty during his 'commentary.'

A lengthy stoppage, stretchered off in a neck brace, off to hospital in an ambulance suggests it may be more than could

Will be purely precautionary, not necessarily indicative of a serious injury.

I've always thought of him as a pretty clean player. Certainly don't remember many dirty incidents from him.

Yeah, all the strapping up etc. is, just not seen a player carted off in an ambulance too often.
Having seen the replay now it looked fairly innocuous in the play and much worse in the slowed down replays. Stevo's hysteria doesn't help. The point of contact is potentially very dangerous though.
I'm not sure people claiming to know what was going on in Hauraki's mind helps, but I hope it's not going to be another incident judged on the outcome rather than the incident itself, even if Abbo is badly hurt.

| I don't think it was intentional for one minute.
It was careless. I think Hauraki may have been trying to flap around abit, maybe win his side a penalty for making it looking like he was being held down.

| [iHauraki obviously thought Abdull was going to force his face into Weller's knee but he didn't so Hauraki's knee just kept going. That's nothing like a knee to the face, it's not as if it was a Glasgow knee was it? This game has gone soft.[/i
I think that's what the OP was after. Now Weller, he may miss the semi-final, convenience won't be bestowed upon him.
