| Quote Tre Cool="Tre Cool"We're the worst run club in SL, why would you want to compare yourselves to us? Fev people are constantly banging the drum about how they're ready for SL. I don't see it. That has nothing to do with the shower of a club that I support.'"
We compare ourselves to you because you are allowed to continue in SL and we (and other potential aspirants from the Championship) haven't been. And we compare ourselves to you because attendances are the rod used to beat us with, yet London are allowed to continue in a ground that can't actually hold a decent crowd, whereas Featherstone have made a concerted effort, including significant contributions from volunteer supporters, to improve our ground in line with supposed SL standards.

I agree, but I suspect they'll 'do a Leigh'.

Well if you compare yourselves to a club with no fans/sponsors that nearly goes bust every few years you aren't much good to SL. You need to prove you are able to add something to the comp, not just be better than the worst club in the league.

Increasing crowds, and extremely solid and passionate away support. Own our own ground and land around it. Two new stands built largely by volunteers. Shiny new Centre Of Excellence with state-of-the-art training facilities. Award-winning Foundation doing tremendous work in the local community. Significant financial backers. Extremely consistent on-field performances (table-toppers four years running). I think we tick a few boxes there.

So you think that's what the crowd should be for Featherstone and Wakefield?

If you want to add something to SL then your average attendance should at very least be 8000, probably more like 10k. A local derby friendly should bring half that, so 4-5k.

I think if you are demanding a place at the big-boys table, you should be compared against the big boys. Fev got what a quarter of what Leeds got. If that carried on to League attendances Fev would be in trouble.

| Bit harsh on fev Leeds did play against a Wakefield first team and over 2500 fans is pretty good against a youth team I actually think 9000 is pretty poor effort for a derby friendly there will be about 14000 for the Hull derby friendly

I think it’s a bit of a stretch to say that was Wakefields 17, (not least because there were 7 Subs) and the Leeds side was Jones-Bishop, L Briscoe, Minns, Moon, Handley, Sutcliffe, Hardaker, Achurch, Aiton, Clarkson,Delaney, Foster, Minchella. Subs : R Ward, Milton, White, Walters, Grange.
Which is just about as 2nd string as they could get, 3 of them have already been sent out on loan for the season.
