Any complaints about consistency are reasonable in my view - there have been glaring inconsistencies in how SL has been officiated this season and it's correct to suggest that something should be done about that.

What isn't appropriate however, is for senior officials and players from a club that is often touted as the gold standard of SL, to air their views in public, in direct contravention of the rules of membership of said SL; I'm sure there are internal grievance/complaints procedures that are open to them and that's what they should be using.

I think the tackle warranted the ban and do think anyone who criticizes the RFL calling them a 'joke' for punishing him should be warned or charged for improper conduct and in breach of the respect policy. However I do understand Wigan's point of view that other challenges similar go unpunished or under punished. I had the same opinion after the Magic Weekend when Dobson was sin binned for holding down. The punishment was correct but my gripe was that it goes unpunished a lot of the time.
