I know. It was to show to the Huddersfield fan that started this daft thread that clubs can make mid-season signings.

| Hull started the season 60k under the cap, we've had Ellis, O'Carrol and McKinnon leave since the start and brought in Radford, Russell, Pitts and Watts, so are probably quite close to the cap but I'd be really, really surprised and disappointed if we've gone over it.

So the "Witt" that boomer says you've signed is really an amalgamation of Pitts and Watts?

| i have heard that clubs like wire and wigan give extra money to there big costing players and it has nothing to do with the contracts, just extra money that has been promised.
Dont know how wire are still in the salary cap though with the likes of waterhouse, j.monaghan, m. monaghan and hodgson. However they have got simon moran so i suppose that answers the question.

Yes....I'm sure all those club chairmen, employees and the players themselves are quite willing to risk prison sentances for tax evasion. I'm also sure those "big costing players" were equally willing to commit to a club through a contract that specified a lower salary than they expect to be paid.

| Even if Wigan were close to the cap which i very much suspect there not because of the players that have left/retired recently compared with the ones that have been signed/promoted, the contract for matty smith could have been back weighted so he only gets a small wage for this season and a much bigger one for next season to compensate.
Warrington is a completley different issue though, with the big name players they have I just cant see how they all fit under the cap. But if they have there rent/mortgage paid for them plus a company car and petrol and food allowances etc etc then there wage doesnt need to be as big I suppose!!

All of which counts on the salary cap.
Does anyone actually have any evidence of the kind of corruption necessary for the cap to be avoided in these ways? Does anyone have any evidence or even an idea as to what these big name players are actually on?
