No, will only win Wales

I think it's more the fitness we lack. We were the better side for 55-60 minutes at Elland Road only to die on our feet and get wallopped in the last 20.

I don't understand.

Why would we want Wales? Haven't we tried to get rid of it once?

Would be a fair effort without Burgess, O'Loughlin, Crabtree and possibly Joel Tomkins.

Agree on Burgess and O'Loughlin, don't think the other two would make the starting 17.

We've got as good a team on paper as we have for a long while and you'd hope that would translate to performances on the field but it probably balances out due to us having McNamara as coach!

Our best hope of winning the thing is if the Kiwi's beat the Aussies at Warrington and then we manage to make them panic the week after at Wembley and beat them. Thats easier said then done as they're used to high pressure game but it would have to be that way as you just can't see us beating them in a final.

Once again, the English Rugby league fascination, obsession and inferiority complex with all things Australian rises to the surface

The Australians hold exactly as many international trophies as we do so why should we be talking about beating them and not the Kiwi’s? The New Zealand team and public have shaken off their inferiority complex, so should we

How long will it be before pressure is applied to make England win a series for the good of the game.




Looking at how many players from Australia and NZ that are injured or electing for off season surgery, this may be the year.

The game needs England to win a series more than any other sport contested by only 3 teams.

It was supposed to happen a few years ago when NZ were stripped of points for fielding an ineligible player but it was not enough to get GB in the final alas.

With the right referee, the home ground advantage, some imported talent, some dodgy decisions and the rub of the green, England can win.......










Will they?


I doubt it, they are nowhere near good enough. (except the pack, that has been the best pack in the World for 10 years without any success)

Unfortunately, with Australia in the tournament, neither of these two are likely to happen

We have improved in some areas, but the Oz and NZ squads are stronger therefore i doubt it.

We won't win it, but if we can keep every game close and win against one of NZ/Aus, it will be progress.
