Big blow. He has been class this season. I don't like the look of Westwood at 13 because he can't link in the line and organise like Lockers does.

If that's what you're looking for then Westerman might be worth a shout. He does need to stop trying to do it all himself though, I've noticed this season if we're up against it he almost tries too hard and has blown a few chances because of it. Something we can't afford to do. |

I don't see O'Loughlin every week but he has never impressed me as anything more than a solid worker. He can be forgiven for that but when you throw in the fact that he has to be one of the most blatant and consistent nigglers in the game I've always been puzzled as to his seemingly automatic international selection. Kevin Sinfield is an infinitely more talented loose forward, even before we discuss some of the younger options raised by others. |

Concerning that this appear to be a club v country issue. As I understand it, SOL has needed this surgery for a while. So it can wait for the end of Wigan's campaign but not for England? A slippery slope....

Westerman is not good enough, simple as that. I would rather play Burgess or Westwood there than Westerman. My next choice would be Sinfield to organise and do a stint at 9 to help Roby out and also give us his kicking game.

Agree with the point about Sinfield, he has struggled physically in the past in international games – particularly in defence
If we have two good halves and Tomkins and Roby, I think we have enough attacking talent to forsake a creative loose forward and go with a full running pack with Westwood or Heighington at 13 |
