| Quote Wheels="Wheels"Wigan are currently the top club in the country. When did Warrington reject the opportunity to Sign both Foster and Lomax then? I don't remember this.'"
They didn't.
It's because they are at a 2nd rate club like St Helens that they get a regular game and look half-decent. If they were at a top club like Wire they probably wouldn't get a game.

It's great how these dire fans come out of the woodwork. Welcome to the party, let's see if you're still in it in a couple of years with your ageing squad. Tell us of the youngsters you have bursting through into the first team that could challenge either Lomax or Foster.

| I don't understand the euphoria with Jamie Foster. He kicks goals and has a daft haircut - that's the only thing that separates him from the rest of the wingers in Super League. Josh Charnley is a far more exciting prospect, but you don't want him playing for England - he plays for Wigan.

| On form this season Foster has been far better than both Briscoe (who tbf had a good game Friday) and Ryan Hall who has done little in 2 seasons (and I rate him highly) so really should have got the nod, he's young and confident and would have been a great attitude to have around the camp IMO.
As for Lomax, well you ask who is the form British number 6 and it would have been between him and Kevin Brown simple as that (Briers was never getting a look in if were being honest).

Foster is a Darrell Goulding who can kick goals, just look at his stats compared to Josh Charnley, despite Charnley playing less games: www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... eason=2011
Lomax on the other hand is superb and I would love to see a halfback partnership of him and danny brough in the 4 nations.

| Foster is good, but I think that there are better wingers than him. If he didn't kick goals I don't think that he would get even half-as-many mentions. Out of youngsters coming through, I'm a big fan of Ben Jones-Bishop at Leeds, I think that he's going to be in the international side sooner rather than later, injuries permitting, and Watkins and Charnley are looking like decent prospects too. In my head I have all 3 in above Foster. Plus there's already Tom Briscoe claiming one wing spot so there's only one available. (I prefer BJB to Hall).
Lomax is looking good, too, but I think that he needs to play some more games to show his consistency in the halves (this is his first season playing SH at SL level, right?) but he's looking good and I think he deserves a shot in the Knights.
The positions that concern me the most for England are Loose and one of the centre spots (Bridge having one).

I always thought Lomax was being primed as Wellens FB replacment but seem's he has found his spot at 6 this season and is really excelling there, be interesting to see where Pryce fits in when fully fit!
Don't think loose is too much of a worry as IMO you just pick one out of O'Loughlin & Sinfield and stick with them... unless you change the dynamic and put Sam Burgess there as an extra forward so to speak rather than more of a playmaker.
Centre, well Yeaman should be there plain and simply. Always thought on form he's the best English centre (with big Keith now retired) he's on form and fully fit so why no call up? Bridge internationally is ok in defence but I am yet to see him cause his opposite number any problems?

| Agree with alot that's been said.
Lomax yes- a quality young player with an air of brilliance about him. He's brilliant on his feet, has good pace and is strong. He could be very special.
Foster no- He kicks goals very very well but as a wingman he's just steady. He's not very quick or strong and looking at his stats doesn't have a great work ethic. I can't ever see him being more then a solid superleague winger(or Union superstar).
